I don't believe the factory every compiled and kept it's records in the manner that you are asking for. It is only through the long time efforts of Marcel and a few others that the details for each car built can be compiled and broken down into color, body style and options. With that knowledge totals for the various color choices made by the original buyers can be found. Marcel continues to be very generous with the knowledge but sifting through a couple of hundred information requests a day (and it never stops) can become rather tiresome I would imagine... CH
how many daytonas came in dino blue metallic/ tan 3218? also, interesting tidbit i read, if car came thru harrahs modern classic motors, they all had radios, ac and borranis fitted from the factory. true?
The 12 Daytonas originally painted Giallo Dino 20-Y-348: 12301, 14033, 14149, 14171, 14203, 15237, 15373, 16321, 16569, 16683, 16703 and 16781. Marcel Massini
36 cars originally Blu Dino 106-A-72 with Beige VM 3218. No, not all Daytonas new to MCM Harrah had Borranis. Marcel Massini
Hi Marcel. Would you know if Borranis were factory fit or dealer fit on a Daytona? I spoke to a guy in the USA [ over the internet] who told me his original Spyder came with them fitted from new. Thanks Grant
my daytona has factory fitted borranis. they were an option at the time, unlike the 9" cromodoras which were never fitted by the factory.
Just two (genuine) Daytona Spiders originally painted Giallo Dino 20-Y-348. 14389 and 16465. Marcel Massini
only the 7 1/2 inch borranis were factory fitted. did ferrari fit any car with different size wheels(front vs back) on any 60's road car?
Ed: To my knowledge, all the 60's street cars were fitted with the same size wheels front and back. Some Comp SWB's and the GTO's had different sizes in front and back, as did the REAL GTB/C's.
Sorry to assist further derailing a thread regarding "colors". ... and if you consider potential dilemma it would've presented back in the day regarding the spare tire/wheel sizing, it makes even more sense.
