    Hello,

Question for U.S. Ferrari 348 [tb/ts/ss/spider] owners. Do you use the motorized "mouse" seatbelts, or do you hook/unhook them manually? If the later, do you to manually lock the lap belt and shoulder belt?

Is that an issue, or does it become second nature?

    Kind regards,

    Joe

Manually unlock and lock the lap belt and shoulder belt. No big deal...

+1 Yep just do the belts manually. It does become second nature. The motorized system is just plain stupid.

I am in the process of ditching the passive belt system.

I use mine on the driver's side because it still finctions. The passenger side doesn't so it goes manual. since my car is a Serie Speciale, I am not going to ditch anything stock in the interior yet. Once I am done with modding the engine, I might swap out the seats for racing seats and harnesses. Maybe. ;)

I have a Speciale as well and I am using the belts manually. No problem at all.
Not to mention the fact that it is difficult enough to get in and out the F40 seats without a belt in the middle of way.

Are you putting in a standard 3-point (non-US) belt system? I'd be interested in hearing more...

Yes I am switching over to the standard 3 point belt system. Managed to find a gentleman on Ebay Germany parting out a 348. I really dont think the conversion would be that difficult if you had a good interior shop to help do the work. Will start a thread once the parts make it here-they are in transit now.
