    There is a description in the workshop manual. Two screws on the downside need to be removed and then you can use some pry tools.

    yeah fortunately that's very easy. 2 screws as mentioned above and push it forward in the windshield direction

    How do we get off the unit ….

    The two screws are right above the gauge cluster, pointing straight up, on the front edge of the dash cover right on the underside of the front lip.
