I saw a promotional photo for a new movie - Racing on the Rain. I appears to have a Ferrari 328 in the background. The car is partially obscured by the cast. Has anyone seen this movie? Is it worth seeing and is there a 328 in it?

I've seen the previews. It is definitely a feel good movie around racing. It is not a racing movie. No knowledge on the 328 but there was a beautiful vintage Testarossa in the preview.

I saw a private reveal last night. The movie is a good adaptation of the book. I’ll avoid spoilers, but the plot has a more child friendly theme which doesn’t ruin the story.

Overall I think it was well done.

No 328 in the movie, but based on the last 1/3rd I’d say the factory was involved.

    I’ll probably watch it again.

Great little book. I will be interesting to see how they translated it to a movie.

A nice movie, quite sad....great dog. Very curious to know Ferrari's reason for supporting as they obviously have done. Worth seeing (bring a box of Kleenex!).

When I read the headling I thought -or hoped- there's a film adaption of this great book:

    Image Unavailable, Please Login

But then I saw the trailer and now I am disappointed. But at least Kevin Costner is involved. Seems, that after so many years he felt the desire to play in another cheesy movie (after Message in a Bottle)

But who drives a 308 with the antenna slightly up? That's asking for trouble and replacements are tough to find.

My antenna is stuck in the "slightly up" position. I feel like it provides enough drag to save me from a speeding ticket.

If you see it, please let us know if it’s worth seeing from a Ferrari content perspective (could care less about the sappy love story between a man and his dog).

So I'm a dog guy, if there is a tear jerker moment with the dog , no matter the rest of the movie, I'm not going. Marley and Me, I Am Legend, I can't take it.

For those of you thinking of taking you children to this, you may want do do some research first. There are two (2) threads with a link to a third in the Ferrari General section. One commenter mentioned that the plot involves someone falsely accused of a sex crime. I haven't seen the movie, so I can't confirm. Maybe someone else can chime in. Just saying in case there might be unsuitable content present you don't want your kids exposed to.

My wife and I both read the book when it first came out several years ago and really enjoyed it. We just watched the movie and happy to say there was nothing inappropriate in this movie. I would describe it as more of a story about the life of a struggling race car driver than about racing itself. To us it was refreshing to see a story well told rather than the typical CG comic book faire that seems so prevalent today.

Regarding Ferraris in the movie, I can offer some behind the scenes info. Being responsible for booking dates at our local track for our road racing events, I was speaking with the owner and general manager of Pacific Raceways here in Seattle. They shared that the closing scenes featuring the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa were shot over 2 days using a car with a Ferrari V-12 engine and chassis but a reproduction fiberglass body. So a little Hollywood movie magic instead of the real thing. Good Date Night movie!

Good movie, but no 308/328 in the movie. There is the Testarossa + others.

Mo sex crime accusations in the movie, more A&B.

Very well done, but not as good as the book. Then again, some of the descriptions and plot elements in the book are pretty difficult to take. Certainly worth a sawbuck for two old retired folks to see it.

Read the book. It is a great story, and racing is pretty much in the background.
