All I can say is God forbid if you need to place an order for parts in August... They may reopen in September, but there’s a backlog. Ask me how I know Kind regards, Nuno.
Technically they don't fully close anymore but have a skeleton staff working. I'm sure it doesn't particularly help the lead times though...! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They do actually back off production to almost nothing. What skeleton crew is there. Is primarily focused on m/y revisions and retooling.
I’m sure the term shutdown is not completely accurate but I was just referring to the fact little or no cars are being built at this time. Now that my Pista is finally about to go into production, just getting a bit anxious.
Porsche does the same for a month. I had ordered a GTS which went into the paint shop and wasn't listed as coming out for like 5 weeks! I obsessed about whether the workers were coming back hung over or with otherwise sub par production skills. It was like they just turned off the production line in the middle of everything and went home for a month. I wonder for Ferrari as a publicly held company, if the bean counters will start making them work a little harder! J
