The only way to order that Supra is in black-- so you can't see it

I saw the NSX show car and it looked pretty good. Kinda 458-ish with a Honda grill. It got "blanderized" over time.

Hello, didn't think you would go for a dark color as you mentioned it will be too hot in Vegas. Maybe it's in a shadow which makes that color look darker?

Yep -- it is a concern. But a dark exterior isn't as bad as a dark interior on a convertible.

My real problem with Black cars is they always look dusty in the desert. Gray, even dark gray, isn't as bad.

Bob- Have you ever contemplated a wrap? That way you could get the exact color you prefer to go with your red interior while also meeting all your other conditions.

They've come a long way. I've seen some where you can not tell. Need to find an expert installer. Added bonus is scratch protection. A lot of people will apply clear film paint protection anyways.

    I’ll Leave styling aside.
What we see in the f8 is a small center consol putting the front seats relatively close together and as close as you can get to the centerline. In the Vette you have the massive center tunnel which is the structure so you’re sitting outboard.

It’s a compromise in terms of driving dynamics/performance/ experience that is a consequences of building the structure down the middle of the car so sills are old duffer low.

The gold standard was the maclaren f1 which put the driver in the middle.

Correction. Low, narrow sills are GIRLFRIEND/WIFE friendly....and then old duffers. Clambering over some ridiculously wide sills and then falling into the seat is not something the fairer gender likes...even once. And we won't even cover the getting out process.

The F1 was your gold standard, the world, at the time, seemed less impressed, seeing as how they made 1/3rd less than they wanted to because of lack of customers.

Wow. I see something totally different. The C8 interior looks like it really...really doesn’t want the driver to interact with a passenger. That center column is simply TOO much. Like the exterior styling, the interior is needlessly fussy.

The F8 interior by comparison is wonderfully clean and focused. And the Stradale cockpit is even better than that.

    Different strokes and stuff.....

The wife wont drive with me anyway, regardless of ease of entry, something to do with the con brio drving style.
The F1 is the most valuable modern produced to date. Not saying it was practical, or that during the 94 recession people were spending 1 mill on a car(Jag 200 and Eb110 failed after having huge deposit preorders)

What the F1 was and is still is the most pure hyper road experience you can have. No one did a centre seat again becaise yes its impractical, but as standard for driver seat position in terms of interaction and control its the gold standard. The Mp12 on put the driver closer to the centerline than other cars. For pure drivign this is good.

As you and others point out, the vette is not all about driving, its also about working in traffic, being girlfriend freindly, golf clubs etc, each one of these charateristics makes it a a very useable road car, it means the bandwidth of buyers is far larger and Gm will sell a lot. Theyre also compromises, in comparing to the F8 in terms of driver dynamics. Not a judgement call just an observation in terms of ineterior debate when stepping outside of the subjective styling .

I think comparing the C8 to the F8 is akin to comparing a nice dinner from Capital Grill to the French Table in Napa; there are completely different experiences for different markets. Period.
The C8 appears, so far, to be brilliant at achieving what it has been designed to; and the same applies to the F8 I am sure.
There are only a few lingering questions for me, and for most I would guess:
    1. What will be the quality for execution?
    2. What will the driving dynamics be? Not numbers, but subjective sportscar sensations.
    3. What will the Z06 and GS (and convertibles) come out looking like, as well as answering questions above for them.
