Hey guys, this year the Quail motor-sporting event is bypassing the lottery for tickets. Tickets are $995 with vip parking and etc if you purchase before dec 31st. Just thought I’d let you guys know. It’s early, but we go every year and I could never get Quail tickets. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Per their website... Tickets for The Quail on August 14, 2020 will be allocated through an online lottery system in February of 2020. Tickets are only sold by The Peninsula Signature Events and not through third party websites. If you would like to be added to the event database to receive information regarding the 2020 Lottery please CLICK HERE to complete our enquiry form.
I got an email stating there is a lottery bypass this year... I already bought two tickets. I can’t seem to copy the link, here is a pic of the page on the site. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yes I saw that too. But it's not replacing the normal lottery. They're just providing an opportunity to extract more money out of people before the lottery opens in Feb in the name of `for the holidays'. As it states, this is "an opportunity to bypass the lottery selection process". I exhibited a car there back in 2015 or 2016 when it cost $600. The Quail is the poorest value for over the top price anywhere (my opinion).
Understandable, but what I was trying to say was, a person can bypass the lottery and buy tickets now if they wanted to. Yes it’s expensive and “maybe” the poorest Value. I wouldn’t know because I always tried to gets the last minute and could never secure them. I think the ticket value for the concours is a poor value. I’ve been to the show multiple times and it’s the same ol scene and the prices have gone up significantly. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Well the big diff is that the Pebble Beach Concours tickets for 2020 are `just' $400. The few times I've gone in recent years, I've been fortunate to be comp'ed tickets, so for me it was like attending Carmel Concours or the Thurs Pebble Tour stop in Carmel...FREE! But yes, if you're willing to pony up a thousand bucks to assure entry to Quail (vs trying your luck at the lottery in Feb at what, $800 or more?), then I guess the price doesn't matter. Having been once and not particularly impressed with the selection/qty of cars (food and `sightseeing' was a different matter), for the money I'd rather pay for Pebble, pay for Concorso Italiano, and pay to exhibit at Carmel Concours all for about what you're paying for a single Quail ticket. I did Quail as a bucket list item (ie, been there, done that), but as an exhibitor, I was able to bring a friend for the combined total of $600 or the equivalent of $300ea. I still think that's a bit expensive for about an hour or two of browsing and filling up on food and a drink or two. To me, Quail and McCall's event are over the top and way too expensive. Your mileage may vary...
