I have no idea why that Carfax report lists so many titles. I have had 1 title in each state and renewed the registration every year, like you would with any other car in these states. Maybe there's someone on this forum who would know why it shows up like this? I do not have pictures, nor any information about the cars history prior to becoming the owner in 2000. And before someone asks: I do not recall a name and have no way to find the seller from 2000. The car was bought from a private individual in Connecticut in 2000, it was already on a Rebuilt title at that time and has not been in any accidents or had any other damage since, only normal maintenance including doing the 30K miles service this winter even though the car only has 26K miles on it.
I just wanted to pipe in.....wow, what a car. This is a no brainer send the check tomorrow price for a 512TR. I like everyone here, "wonders wtf??"...and as that awesome Carfax INDICATES, THE CAR Came in as a Euro and within 10 months, "something bad happened". Now as Ferrari owners, we well know how that game is played...a big estimate using "new parts flown in with the Pope's blessing.." Were it me I would have someone look deeply at the suspension and frame, but yet we have TWENTY YEARS of use, since then! Reminds me of the Cornell Hurd love song "I don't care, what it is that you did, up there in Fort Worth"....!! I hope the owner has heard that one, if not I'm buying the beers... This is an incredible car. I love it.
Those various titles track the car or the owner moving state to state, to my eye... Since it's late and I have a fresh beer, I'm going to riff on the "what ifs" here: So almost new this car gets imported as a Euro into Newark NJ. We know what's in Newark, NJ? Ferrari North America!! Then it does obviously have a Altered Title. I like that phrase because as this car shows it's a Rebuilt Title! But being a grey market car, it's really hard to say if the CAR had an event, or if the PAPERWORK was rebuilt, as in a legal term. Of course maybe someone died and was found a month later. That would have been a big upholstery bill that had jack **** to do, with mechanicals. Or they spun it on ice, and smashed all four corners....done! Those are a few evets that would have spent $$$ on the car itself. But man, all this time later...it's been great fun all these years. All those other states were just issuing paperwork, to mimic the previous paperwork. When it FINALLY gets to Arkansas, they confirm: "It's Red!"" Those razorbacks are sharp!! GLWS man, I would love to experience it. This was a supercar, in my childhood.
Congrats! Maybe the new owner will share what he finds but I myself would have purchased this car. But I'm broke…
Very weird seller. Reach out a few times, bad communication...hope the new owner is not disappointed by it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hahaha -did u reach out? I asked many times for pictures of the cars and info and got nothing; so troll urself away please. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just call you out when I feel you cross the line of good taste in a SUBSCRIBED users classified ad when you make unnecessary comments that may hurt a sale or in this case malign a seller for some bizarre reason. I have no problem with comments that are a material observation about a car or item for sale from someone with technical knowledge or direct experience with a particular car or item for sale. Your post was neither. No, I didn't attempt to contact @512TR Dallas because I had no reason to. I was not a potential buyer for his car and neither are you. @512TR Dallas answered every question he was asked in this thread. You repeatedly badgered him for a VIN number. There was another user here that like serial numbers a lot too. LOL Your final comment "Very weird seller. Reach out a few times, bad communication...hope the new owner is not disappointed by it" is in very bad taste and beneath you. As always, YMMV.
Ok mister Las Vegas. Clearly u are still bitter from the 308 sale. I sold 2 tr on this forums and used to own 1 myself. 2nd I am in the market for a 512tr and it has been well documented 3rd I asked specific question to the seller in private message which were vaguely replied and the seller refused to provide more pictures 4th u can report any post u like, u are not a moderator so ur opinion is well ur opinion 5th if u read my history u can see I have clearly contributed to the TR and ff forum, ff which I recently acquired waiting to get the ideal 512tr So when u don’t know much about a situation, I’m happy to share with u exchange with this seller who btw joined out of nowhere and his only posts are regarding this car with no history before... I shall let u enjoy the Vegas sun or reviewjournal.
That being said congrats to the buyer and looking forward to knowing more about what is found damage wise on the car or what happened to it before to it.
Yeah right u have nothing to say and no proof to any of ur silly assertion. U just flat out made up a lie and I have 0 respect for that. Have a great day.
No I am not: u said I never intended to buy the car and wasn’t in the market=>#1 #2 u hint that I had no communication with seller=>asked him via pm for pictures of car evidence of work done=>refusal to. Don’t call a personal attack what isn’t. I’m calling u out and correcting u as u seem to know a situation which u didn’t know anything about. Have a great day and put me on ignore that’s best for the both of us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Brad, I offered fair amount. On a side note: I had a message from a member asking what I would consider to be a good offer for a similar car since I had experience. A week or two later, seller got back with me stating it was sold and car being shipped back east. I didn't experience any bad dealing with the Seller. She called me by phone and replied to all my messages. Yes, there was a delay on reply but she was super sincere and told me in advance that she traveled between her homes and not clued to Fcaht. I liked the car, was not too worried about title, i was more concerned about deferential and other known parts being original. If the deal falls short, I will consider taking a closer look.
