How did #21 come off if the cable that runs through it is still attached?

I'll bet $5 that the missing part had the same diameter as the rim hole....

I also think part 21 is the missing link. Hand brake Cable came loose for some reason, this whas the ratling noise you hear and after part 21 whas going over the cable at his end, got trapped between wheel and brake caliper and the turning wheel forced part 21 over cable end, making this hole and went lost in nature...

I have no clue! I have part #21 on route and I will measure to see if it's possible to have it jam between the roter and the rim, I still think it was something else - but it does make sense if it was the right fit.

    I never updated the community.

I think I traced it to the emergency brake cover, I believe it got dislodged and got caught between the rotor and rim. Probably punched a hole - still just a guess, but it's the best I came up with.

    Cheers

Seems like a reasonable explanation, that the smaller end of that part, with enough velocity, punched the hole and made the "slug". Good detective work.

Well this happened to me too todahy. but opposite travel direction of the bullet or bolt or whatever it was. I am so confused, the tire is fine. Weird! I am just worried on where the object came from, if it's missing from somewhere else on the vehicle.
