First, I would confirm that the problem is the switch. Once you've done that, replace the switch if necessary.

You could swap them, or just disconnect the leads and jump them together.

I've had some time to swap the fan switches over and it seems they both work... as do both of the fans.. Fuses seem ok too.

It looks like I have no power to the switch. can any one suggest what to try next? A colour wiring diagram would be handy is there one available?

Also I have no power to my two LED heater switches? any suggestions?

    Thanks

I am away from home so I cannot look at the fuse panel decal description on my 328 but do the blowers have separate fuses?

It looks like there is one relay for both heater blowers, is it possible for the relay to be faulty?

If they share a relay and one blower works, it's not the relay.

Don't have a copy of the euro 328 wiring diagram book (nor any in colour ;)), but this link will get you the 1986-87 US 328 wiring diagram book:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/vsxcnaheq1igub4/328%20US%201986%201987%20wiring%20diagram%20book%20440_86.pdf?dl=0

The injection stuff won't be the same, and typically the euro and US have differences in the external light wiring, but the AC/heating system should be similar IME. Of course, if someone's got a copy of the euro version 328 wiring diagram book, please post!

Sorted... Turns out that the relay was faulty..... They both now blow.. is it normal for a relay to fail?

Back to the heating and air cone issue now!

Any one know what the two plugged relays are? can't see them in the wiring diagram?

One is a self-latching relay, with a time delay when deactivated, for your interior lights (so they stay on for a while after closing the door).

The other is the wiper relay (providing the intermittent wiping functionality)

Great thanks.... Do you know what the difference is between the two "A" relays named heater blower and the two "K" relays also named heater blowers?

One of my "A" relays was faulty which I have replaced. but what do the "K" relays do?

    Thanks

Yes, I noted that the English description of those items was a bit lacking for clarity. They would be better described as:

75A and 75B (in the wiring diagram Fig 8) = relays running the heater blower motors
75G and 75H (in the wiring diagram Fig 8) = relays controlling the relays running the heater blower motors

Whether A = 75A and 75B and K = 75G and 75H, or vice-versa, you should be able to figure out from the wire colors that connect to them. Why they needed two relays working in series to run each heater blower motor = never looked into that...
