    the V12
i think it's one of the best engine ever made
    best sound also
    and so much history.

what models should i look for?
    can be daily car?
    how expensive the maintenance is?
    etc.

i have 675LT , almost not using it
    use to have GT3 991

    Thanks

Welcome! It's a hard question, sort of like what kind of girl should I date?

Really depends on what you're looking for specifically.

A good place to start is what models have you had your eye on so far? Helps narrow it down.

    Cheers

"It's hard question, sort of like what kind of girl should I date?"

    LOL , you are right

i guess i want a car that i can enjoy also daily , not weekend / track focus car like my 675LT
    not too stiff suspension
NA engine (i missed the GT3 9000 rpm NA engine)

    Thanks for your reply.

So many variables. To help narrow it down, definitely as @IloveGT said, what's your budget? After that did you want a 2+2? 2 seater? Classic, Modern? Manual, DCT? Mid engine? Front Engine?

Going back to the girlfriend analogy, is like you only said you want a girl you can spend time with daily. Still too broad of description for what you're looking for. There are a lot of different Ferrari V12, it's like I went to a food forum and asked, what's the best Italian food for me?

    i agree with you
i need to find a way to narrow down

i care about handling , fun to drive , visceral , etc.
(675LT and GT3 both offer that but not for everyday use)

maybe give me few models you can think of and i will start check them?

Okay, missed that. But I could see a nice V12 touring car (2+2) to compliment the McLaren.

I think we may still be talking over each other.

Everything is relative. Some cars that handle better also lack the visceral rawness you seek. Some folks think car X is fun, and car Y is boring, and vice versa. It's so subjective.

Your question and responses are so broad and wide open that it is tough even to start. I gave you a few things to help us provide you with advice.

    1) Price range
    2) Seating config
    3) Transmission preference
    4) Epoch
    5) Engine config

You keep on coming back with such general criteria.

Maybe you're just looking for a quick and easy answer.

Get the 812 Superfast, I enjoyed driving it, and it is a lot of fun. It has great handling, and it was visceral enough for me + with the new car warranty, you should be good if you encounter any issues.

    Cheers.

I currently have a 430 as my daily driver. Works for me. Handling, fun, visceral etc. All the things you say you want.

But you say your GT3 had all that, though not as a daily driver.

Why not? What was missing? Perhaps that would help folks give you better advice.

This is my suggestion given that I have similar Porsche background when comes to their GT cars. Good number of the fchatter have that as well.

    First and foremost. Any children?

If yes, and they still live with you, please get FF. Absolutely the best bang of the buck.

If no kids, when I will do and almost did, is to look for a TM F12.

Once you hear the v12 at 9k rpm, you will forget that flat 6 engine of gt3.

Feel like this thread might have a lot of wild and windy nights.
    Third
    time's the
    charm
Okay, since the 599 6 speed is very expensive you can count that out.

Here is a simple flow chart for you then.
What do you need a 2 seater or 4?
    If 4 seater = FF
    If 2 seater
Do you need a 6 speed?
    Yes = 575M 6 Speed
    No= 599

    You're welcome.

I generally wouldn’t quibble with you, Paul. You know your stuff as well or better than most. But there are precious few 575’s with a 6 speed. Perhaps 550 would be a better option to search for?

    Great point.

Our friend is having a hard time giving us a range for his budget, so I'm trying my best to help. After three attempts asking what is the upper bound, the best we got was "the 812 is too expensive."

I've seen some 575s six speeds in the low 200s (2/3s of the cost of the 812 and on par with his 675LT) Might still be too high, I concede, hence I've been trying my best to point out to the OP that he needs to be a bit more forthcoming with what he's looking for.

Don't forget the 612 and the 612 OTO since you seem to be favoring V12 engines.:)

Well l really think you should drive a naturally aspirated rear mid engine for comparison. The model l recommend is 458. Compare this to how a front mid-engine handles in the twisties.

Evaluate how you like to drive and then make a decision first on front or rear. Then you can move into whether a spider or coupe. Then move into other features.

When l bought my first Fcar l told the salesman l needed:
    Abs
    Open top
    Airbags
    F1 transmission

    Answer: F355 F1 GTS

What l didn’t know was that the F355 had five valves per cylinder and is one of the best sounding Fcars ever made. Just icing on the cake. Then l added a Tubi exhaust. Heaven.

If you want a V12 it's pretty simple. The 812 is the best. If you want the best bang for the buck get an F12.

I'm just a regular poor schmuck so my optimum V12 would be split into three categories:

    Vintage: Boxer
Somewhat modern but has to be a stick: 550
    Modern and amazing: F12

Other options are too expensive (60s), uninteresting (400s), can't stand the looks (Testarossa) or fairly modern but the tech is not what I want (575, 599)

The 365 GTC4 gets brownie points for being WAY under appreciated and super rare (only 500 made).

we have 2 SUV , no need 4 seats

i always fall in love with raw cars / track focus
i drive 911 Turbo 5 min , switch back to my GT3 (GMG center delete)
feel the rawness and the NA engine sound , immediately i forgot the turbo.
same thing with the 675LT , i tried many cars and i don't like anything more then this car.
i drove a Carrera GT ling time ago , maybe 10 min drive , the best car i ever had a chance to drive.

458 Speciale , we switch cars me and my friend
i was surprise how comfortable this car compare to the 675 , i can live with it everyday.
430 scuderia i never tried , i can guess i will love it more then the Speciale.

    F12 and 458 italia
    back to back
around 15 min drive on each car.
    i loved the 458 more.
the F12 felt big and heavy , less nimble - something didn't catch me in this car
    i don't know why.
    the Engine sound ! wow
maybe i need more time with this car.

i will explain what is my issue:
i took the 675 to COTA last year to Pure McLaren , what a car !
one of my happiest day ever!
i drove back home and since then i don't want to drive the car , i just can't enjoy it on the street.
add to that , my friend gave me his new 991.2 GT3RS for few days , someone "hit and run" me
then i realize why i don't like to drive on the street.
i know it's sound very wired , buy that's how i feel now , i don't like it at all.

for me Porsche it's a first love , nothing car replace it
they know how to build cars like nobody else (in my opinion)
400 horsepower feel like 500 of other brands.

other car i think of is R8 , NA V10
Audi build quality , can be daily car.
    dual clutch.
"on paper" it's a great car.
