I am hunting for a 458, though Francis leaving Algar may mean I need to wait a little longer. I am keeping the T though. Also adding another 4C, C8 and Taycan, I have been busy doing other things, now its time to get back to cars.

 

I have considered moving to a 458 Spider but I feel like I will not use it nearly as much as my California. I drive it all the time, including to the supermarket. I don't see myself using a 458 like that. Portofino will be next when the prices drop in the next year or 2.

 

Both my California and 458 Spider were daily drivers. I'd take the California grocery shopping/Whole Foods as it had more useful space for groceries. Not as much space in the 458. The 458 got a lot more attention in Grigio Titanio than the Nero Daytona Cali. When I'd take the 458 to the bar, dinner or even the movie theater, on multiple occasions there was a crowd of people around the car but everyone was always respectful and friendly. So I guess it's what your tolerance for attention is as the mid-engine looks more exotic and what colors you choose that make a difference in addition to usable space.

Now I daily a Rosso Mars Huracan and don't take it grocery shopping, to dinner or to the movies. Have private/secured parking at work. Also belong to an exotic cars club. Otherwise gets too much attention to park in public places with lots of traffic.

Huracan. Newer Ferraris all look the same.

 

Ditto. I'd like an old-ish V12. My wife would prefer a Porto. But, then we drive our gorgeous ivory work of art, and the feeling subsides.

In no particular order I'm considering the following 4 cars if I ever sell the Cali30.

2013+ 458 (prefer spider but prices are still up there)
2013+ F12 Berlinetta
2016+ Huracan 580-2 (don't care for all wheel drive)
2017+ 570S Spider

They all have their pros and cons and believe me I've researched them all till my eyes bled. Still can't decide. In that lineup I only have seat time in a 2015 F12 and due to the stock piss poor exhaust note I wasn't truly able to decide as I thought the note would reel me in. I need to drive a modded F12 and the others in the list.

I'm in no rush, which is great because I won't make a hasty decision!

There is no other car I would prefer over my modified Cali30. It is the perfect supercar foil to my 675LT Spider.

Really? Ironically enough, on Wednesday, we are two guys in a 488 Spider on the motorway coming up on a yellow Huracan. Took us a bit of time to figure out whether it was a Huracan or a Gallardo. When you see a 488 and 458, it is instantly recognizable as a specific model.

We knew instantly it was a Lambo we had next to us, unfortunately, the generic Lambo wedge of the V10 range, means they are terribly similar - and dull.

Cali T. Test drove a Portofino, why pay the extra 100 grand for a similar car. But will keep the 430.
