This 1979 Ferrari 308 GTB is in finished in Giallo Yello trimmed with tan leather to match the carpet and door panels and shows just 56,000 miles. It is a US market example that was sold new at Hollywood Beverly Hills Car Co in Beverly Hills, California and remained with the first owner until 2016. I purchased the car in 2016 from the original owner (after two years searching for a great 70's GTB) and have performed several major services (performed by European Car Specialists in Newport Beach and most recently by renowned Competizione & Sports Cars in Maryland) and included a timing belt replacement, rebuilt carbs, electronic ignition, seal replacements etc. totaling nearly $25k in invoices

Power comes from a carburated 2.9-liter V8 paired with 5-speed manual gearbox, and modifications include a Birdman Fusebox, an aftermarket stereo (original comes with the car) and Pertronix ignition. Shod with correct Michelin tires.

A fire extinguisher has been added behind the driver’s seat, and the A/C system was converted to R134 and charged.

All instruments function great. AC blows cold.

Highly original CA car, recently moved to DC in September 2018.

This is an honest car - everything works – an excellent driver that always draws smiles. It drives as a Ferrari should – quick off the line, never overheats, solid and stable at speed. A rare opportunity to own a 2-owner early carb-model Ferrari 308 GTB in one of the most desirable years, a rare color combination and maintained the right way.

Thanks for looking - and for the kind comments - it's a fantastic car. One of the "good ones". I'm hopeful to find someone who really appreciates these cars - if they're going to be anywhere, they're likely to be here on FerrariChat... All the best --Justin

An original CA car, recently moved to DC in September 2018. Smog equipment wasn’t installed when I purchased it but equipment does come with the car.

    Very nice

    Was this just on bat?

In the third photo, it looks like two different yellows(line being hood top and the side ).

The aluminum hood is a target for mishaps.

Conversely the front clip is the WHOLE CAR and a $6500 part.
Just a thought, might have had rock chips done.....

Thanks - it was on bat - rather a goofy week but it happens. Re: colors - the color is the same - there's just shadow in the color that is highlighted by the lines of the car... let me know if you have other questions - thanks for looking

Why are there three different ads for this one car? Justin, maybe the mods can help you merge...

I'll be in the DC area the week of October 14th if anyone would like to arrange a test drive - thanks!

Also, please let me know if you have any questions about the car - it's drives beautifully and is truly one of the "good ones". A great opportunity.

Open to offers...my 308 needs to find a new home.

It's come to my attention that a member of F-Chat has been "trolling" this post/my car. If someone has contacted you about this car via this site, suggesting that they have seen or driven the car at Competizione, they are being disingenuous. That's a nice way to say that they're lying.

I'm not sure why and really don't care. Nor am I interested in "outing" this member.

But if you're interested in the car reach out to me. If you are serious about the car, I'll take you for a drive and you can talk to Richard at Competizione about it as well.

Most folks on F-Chat are likely to be genuine people. But as with anything, there are few bad eggs.

Thanks for looking, and please do let me know if you want to chat about my car - it's available and well worth your consideration. Just a great car.
