Purosangue?
I don't think so- have a look at the wheel arches and then imagine tires in there, it would appear to be significantly higher than the ground level in that picture, leading me to think the vehicle pictured is on a platform.
In another post Fux commented that is taking delivery during PB week of something special that will surpass even Laferrari.....
Blah Blah he regulary posts some crap. A few years a go he teased a 918 spyder with the " #1300hp " hashtag. And nothing
Hi everyone i am new to the forum and would appreciate some advice from the experts here! I am likely to get an allocation for the 812 Spider I wanted to have some thoughts on production number or desirability as well as future depreciation which does matter to me. Many thanks!
I am sure it will hold value better than the coupe as it is almost inevitable the allocation will be restricted - if not a specific limited number. But only buy one If you love it - there are plenty of other things to invest/make money from. I have a coupe and may get the spider but only if the beautiful lines aren’t spoilt by the restrictions from the folding mechanism. If you aren’t happy with potential for depreciation then don’t buy and leave it for someone else to enjoy .
Hi francescaoscar thank you for your reply and advice , indeed i will be going to Maranello at the car preview ( my dealer got me invited) and see what i think of it before making a decision. This would be the first time i would consider a spider as i’ve always preferred the lines of the coupes until now. It is to be seen as well what performance the spider will have it might not outperform the f12 which i own currently though it is a different driving experience I’m sure
Enjoy the trip - I had an invite but can’t make it . I had an f12 and recently bought an 812. I was surprised how much the 812 was a step up from the F12. The driving experience of either the coupe or the spider will be fabulous and superior to the f12. The 4 wheel steer and the speedy gear changes make a big difference. Hopefully there will be enough available for us all to get a spider - assuming it looks the part. If not, get your self the coupe - you want regret it.
My dealer was saying he thinks about 1000 cars, they are bringing out all these new models F8, F8 spyder, 812 Spyder, SF 90, [ these are confirmed] while still making 812 coupe, Lusso or new 4x4, but have not upped the production [ still just 2 lines] so there will be more of a range of cars but with lower numbers. He is still struggling to get all his Pista orders for filled at the moment.
1000 seems like a low number and likely to support future value considering about 800 F12 TDF were made and about 5000 F12. I’m curious to know what your dealer’s view on the 812 coupe and SF90 is, mine think there will be close to 2000 SF90 coupe and 1500 spiders which if it’s true given this car is more expensive than the 812 spider would make me think production numbers for the 812 spider should be higher but I appreciate that may just be pure speculation
Does anyone know how much extra Rosso Fuoco cost for the 812 coupe? I'm considering ordering that for the spider.
Not sure anyone has said limited. Only word is low volume. Do you have that order in writing from Ferrari SpA, or only an agreement and down payment with your dealer? Not sure how you can have an order and allocation when the car is not yet in the MODIS system. Where are you located and what's your history with Ferrari ownership?
Last I heard it was more like 12-15k Euro + tax for the tri layers. I believe the 9k is for the normal optional metallics etc. such as Bianco Italia, Rosso Cali and so forth. But yes, just ask the dealer.
Indeed it has. This is why I'm asking. I know it's not possible, and as far as I know, it won't be in the MODIS system until after the August holidays at the earliest, which I believe ends next Monday. Best.
Again pure speculation. Some have estimated as low as 400-600, some as high as 1400-1600. Closest I can seem to get is 800-1200, and I have absolutely nothing that substantiates this other than what I am told. Personally I don't think 800 is high enough, but I also find 1200 to be on the high side of things. The few in Ferrari that really knows, will never tell.
I agree 800 seems low considering the car could be in production until the end of the production cycle of the 812 coupe which means 2 years at least so my guess is that it could be between 1000 and 1500 1200 seems plausible 800 does seem low
I have been told circa 1400 Spider will be produced, so not that limited but limited enough for me if its a looker and drives almost like an 812 Coupe.
1400 seems more realistic to me and what I would have expected as well. I agree with you deltona i will consider buying one only if i love the car, though 1400 is not such a large number ( compared to the coupe where i expect numbers to be at least 3000) considering UK RHD will account for typically 10 to max 15% that will make it rather rare in the UK
Let’s see...front-engined V12 hard-top convertible Ferrari produced in numbers less than or equal to F40...what’s not to love!
