So I just became the proud owner of this...

    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-ferrari-550-maranello-3/

I’ve had a 550 in the family before & put several hundred miles on one before. But those were the first few hundred miles before any service or maintenance was needed back in 2000. I have been missing having one since. I know these drivetrains are pretty stout, especially when driven regularly & properly maintained. I also have a friend that has one w 25k miles and has been pretty hassle free. I know time will tell if this turns out to be a good deal or not, but what are the first things I should be putting on the maintenance/checkup list?
    Thanks!!

Time 5 years or miles 30k is considered acceptable by most pros today. Ferrari is still on 3 years on the 550 but 5 years on 575 with the same belt and same motor with minor difference. Why? No one but Ferrari knows but most pros I know are 5 years or 30k

Congratulations - that's a lovely looking car. Can't help on maintenance, I am afraid, as I just take mine to my local Ferrari agent and he does what is needed.

Have read in searches can try to heat up leather in area and will reactivate the adhesive and using pressure to restore it ?
Not certain if I concur, may be worth a shot

There's a thread somewhere where someone used a heat gun (or blow dryer) and a smooth edged plastic scraper to re-adhere the leather. I've been meaning to try it on mine but it hasn't really been bothering me much.
