    Guys, I need your expertise. I have a 99 manual gated 360 Modena with a bad 3rd gear synchro. Does anyone have experience or know of a place that can rebuild it?

    If not, do you know if a Challenge gearbox (184775 or 181248) would be compatible? There seem to be several of these used on Ebay at the moment. I know the extra F1 components would not be used of course, but is there anything that would prevent me from swapping that in?

    Lastly, I see a few used gearboxes that say they fit only 2000 and up, with part number 177893 or 183339. Would any of those work for my 99?

    Carl Ryalls in California has rebuilt around 50 of these. He replaced my 3rd and 4th gear synchros and had the car back on the road in ONE DAY. Ferrari dealers ship him transmissions from as far as Florida. 209-810-6501

    That's why my synchros went out as well (heat exchanger failure). Carl Ryalls replaced my 1st and 2nd gear synchros (along with a new heat exchanger, oil pressure sending unit and exhaust manifolds) and then my 3rd and 4th gear synchros about a month later. Car has been perfect ever since.

    My heat exchanger just went waiting to replace and fix now .
