I personally like the 355 better, but as many said, 100% subjective. Goes to say I love both designs.

I owned an E30 M3 in the late 1990s and never of it as pretty or gorgeous, just very purposeful. It is funny most of my friends at the time thought it was ugly and too boy racer. The car was fun, but when I replaced it with a NSX and then my current F355 that I have had for 13 years, I never missed the M3.

Quite possibly! Just consider he was smitten with the 2.7 Berlinetta “I don’t see how it could possibly be better” to slightly less in lust with his 5.2 GTS. “You see I bought the wrong model”

Viewing his video, and somewhat in jest his bandaged fingers removing and storing the targa top.... what isn’t often explained is the reason behind it taking “2 hours” (I think) to stow, is there is no quick flip forward release on the carbon seats, which his car had.

Not the best match of parts IMO as it would be rather tedious to manually crank forward 2 carbon seats to stow the top, and then back... so on and so forth to reverse.

Jim to my knowledge he only one one F355. It was the GTS with factory carbon seats. Half the issue for him would have been the carbon seats. To stow the seats behind the carbon backed seats is a lot more difficult to do especially single handedly. No problem with the stock seats they fold forward much easier.

You've got to laugh sometimes at the fabled '95 owners. :p
Nowhere does he make any comment at all about 2.7 v 5.2, or GTS v Berlinetta from a driving experience perspective.
In fact he says regarding his car that "It's still the best car I have ever, ever driven".

His only real criticism is that he bought a GTS and specced the carbon seats, which as you have correctly said would be a bit of a pain.
I can remove and properly stow the roof on mine (with standard seats) in less than 2 minutes with ease, let alone 4 hours!
Every other negative is just Clarkson being Clarkson. Nothing more.

(IMO the other thing he got wrong was not getting the roof painted red)
