Can someone tell me what that raised circle is with the thick dividing line around it below the side mirror adjustment pad. I have seen some with a red light (I guess for an alarm) drilled in it. But what was it intended for originally ? Did it ever come with a red light from factory ? Hers a pic of a blank one and one with a red light.
    Thanks.

My car is a UK spec.
In the UK its a button for turning of the ABS. Then a abs light will light up on the dash.

Not to hijack this thread, but can anyone tell me if the F355 has a cigarette lighter/12V port in the interior somewhere? If so, where is it located?

My UK M2.7 car has the factory ABS defeat switch there. My M5.2 has a non-factory switch to open the cat bypass. When I get round to buying a suitable switch, I will commission Dave Rocks to make a custom switch in the style of the ABS switch, but with the letters CAT lasered into it.

It's fascinating that when ABS came out originally, I believe in the early 90s, that you had the option of actually turning it off...that would never fly today.

It didn’t fly in the USA, that’s why we never got that button.
