I hate everything about this and I try to wonder what good this is for the fans. They even put their stupid nicknames up on the scoreboard and announce them as their nicknames. We are supposed to know the players of the opposing teams? And all of our relief pitchers? I get putting their nicknames on the back of their standard jersey. But this weekend was a really dumb idea.
I agree with and virtually high-five my distinguished Colleague, Cradle Robber. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using FerrariChat.com mobile app
wait a minute...do I see a trend toward consensus here? Now if we could only ban walk-up music, the second worst idea ever to afflict MLB.
Fun fact. Yanks won the Dodgers series 2 games to 1. So if they meet in the World Series and their season records are tied the Yanks will have home field advantage because their head to head record id the tie breaker. Right now the Dodgers have a one game better record.
The good thing about that is that it will force both teams to keep winning even after they've clinched their divisions, which should be quite early (especially in the Dodgers' case). Otherwise they could get fat and lazy, making them ripe for an early upset departure from the playoffs.
In San Diego on business, so I got to watch the Dodgers v Padres for a few innings. Dodgers seem to have good plate discipline. As much as I hate them, reminded me of the early 2000s Yankees. Wear out a starting pitcher, then feast on suspect bullpens...T
The Dodgers need a kick to the pants right now. They are playing like they are just trying to the season over with. The Yanks came in looking like they wanted to beat the Dodgers. The Dodgers acted like it was just another game. They lost today in San Diego playing like little leaguers. Embarrassing.
Tom C. You are a mind reader and a very smart man. Given that, how on Earth can you be a Cowboys fan? M.A.T.G.A.
Yep! Headed to see Cole pitch tonight. Hopefully the batting practice from yesterday continues today, ha!
https://frntofficesport.com/las-vegas-ballpark-attendance/ The city’s Triple-A team, the Las Vegas Aviators, opened the new Las Vegas Ballpark to start the 2019 season and the ballpark has made all the difference as the team is breaking records and experiencing a turnaround that is even surprising their executives. The team is averaging 9,396 fans, which leads the Minor Leagues in attendance. The capacity of Las Vegas Ballpark is 10,000, a number it has hit nearly two dozen times this season.
Cashman field was a bit old in the tooth as I recall. This new stadium appears to be out in the sticks, away from The Strip, but that's good for the locals I would think...T
NFL should be an easier sell by far than MiLB. One game every other week or thereabouts. New stadium is right on The Strip. Even if the Raiders stink, it should be a hugely popular destination for the visiting fans. Should be a slam dunk hit...T
I've been to it. It's not in the sticks. About 15 minutes off the strip in Summerlin which is an upscale community.
