    Hi guys!

    Can you help me with the Michelin / Pirelli tire equivalency please.

    PZero - MPSS 4 ??
    Corsa - MPSS 4 S ??
    Trofeo - MPSC 2 (I think this one is right, right?)

    Thanks everyone!

    That's just about right, even though some people have slightly differing opinions.

    Thank you! So the super focused Trofeo R are Michelin's PSC 2 R right?

    Pirelli doesn't make a Corsa tire for the 458. Yes they had them for the F12 TDF. Just the Trofeo R or "regular" Pirelli P Zero are available for the 458 Italia/spider. This is per Tire Rack.

    The PSC 2 R is the newest Ferrari tire for the Pista and to the best of my knowledge has NOT come in 458 sizing. Speciale uses 305 rears so different tires to the regular car are available.

    I "know" as planning on swapping my 7 year old Michelins. Yearly service is coming up so I keep looking to see if Sport Cups become available instead of Trofeos. Pirelli typically not as round (honest) or as consistent as Michelin's products.

    Had problems with Michelins, but never with Pirellis.

    MPSS = PZero
    MPS4S = PZero 4
    MPSC2 = PZero Corsa
    MPSC2R = Trofeo R.

    The MPS4 is an entirely different tyre, and not really related to anything but the MPS3. The MPSS is the MPS2 successor, and the MPS4S is the MPSS successor.

    Had a conversation with a Pirelli tech in June. He confirmed this, and categorically dismissed the notion that the MPS4S and Corsa are in the same group. he was quite honest about Pirelli not being entirely up on their game, but he also felt that the PZ4 had brought them closer to the Michelins.

    The Michelin MPS4S for the Lusso could be a nice choice for the 458. Others have used 245 fronts on the 458 and been quite pleased with a bit less tendency to understeer and push. If I had a 458 now, that's definitely the tyre I'd use.
