I have the new Ford GT and 2019 Pista. I have already put over 1000 miles on each in fairly little time. Anyone put many miles on their Pista?

I’ve put 2700 on mine - had it since January and it just feels better and better now that everything seems bedded in. Did a great 1000 mile trip on part of North Coast 500 in Scotland earlier in summer which was a great way of feeling my way into really learning the car, having come out of a 488 Spider beforehand. It truly is astonishing - and anyone who has driven one will tell you the same I’m sure. It’s a car meant to be driven not stuck in the garage! A few thousand miles - who cares?? Not me for sure !!

    Robert,

If you’re buying to keep it “forever”, mileage doesn’t matter.

If you buy it to resell or “invest”, I’ve seen friends pass cars with 8 or 9.000kms.

Not saying I agree. But that’s the way it is. Special editions get even less driven than mainstream models. Mileage is a huge value killer in these things, just look at the market, namely Speciale and Aperta.

Personally, I hate talking about mileage. A car is made to be driven. Spec, condition and maintenance history are paramount. I don’t care much about the rest. The cars are reliable, they won’t melt if you drive them, quite the opposite: a lot of members will tell you they get better with mileage.

In my humble opinion and perception, if you’re going to buy such an impressive machine at all levels like a Pista and drive 1.000 miles in 5, 6, 7 years, you’d be much better off buying stock and putting up a poster in your garage.

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

    Highest I've seen is 3000.

Most I reckon are well under 1000. Just a fact of special edition Ferrari

There are no words to the visceral and mechanical feel of driving the Pista. It’s a shame not to drive this machine and feel all it’s glory. A true masterpiece of design and drive. Nothing quite like it on earth.

4900 miles here. No issues. Keeper. Still looks like a brand new car. Smells new too...after almost two years.

From what I've seen, the prices on these cars has gone bonkers. It's all on paper, however, for those of us who know that there will never be another car like the Pista.

Word on the street is that it could appreciate into the 600s, I don’t see it going there but with the prices of some recent lambos who knows. Like you said all on paper, drive and enjoy it in good health.

Why people are so concerned about mileage and it’s impact on value is beyond me.

A Speciale with 44k miles just sold recently for $340k which is almost MSRP. A Speciale with 6k miles also just sold for about 350k.

You guys are literally sacrificing enjoyment of these Ferrari’s to save a couple thousand in depreciation. If you can afford a Pista or Speciale, you can also afford to enjoy the car and not worry about mileage.

I have 28k miles on my 458 and can’t wait to put more miles on it. I average 1k miles per month since buying the car and it is my daily driver. I will drive it in all conditions until the snow comes…
