Is the Shops of Buckhead the same thing? Just tried a Google search and this was what I found. New to the city, sorry.
Well, I thought it was last weekend (‘cause I can’t remember to look at a calendar, apparently) and I was the only one there . Unfortunately can’t make it this weekend- I’ll see you guys in September. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The actual name of the complex, somewhat illogically, is The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, which is the way you should Google it. The meeting area is at the bottom of Bolling Way, between American Cut and Shake Shack. And remember, it is always the LAST Saturday of the month, which this time just happened to be the 31st. (Bolling Way passes on either side of Le Bilboquet restaurant.)
Yes, Shops of Buckhead on the side street in front of Shake Shack off Peachtree St. 10a-12p ish last Saturday of each month. Depending on weather, 12-25 F cars show up each month.
We had about a dozen Ferraris, not quite as many as usual, along with a surprise: Will Campbell showed up with a delightful '61 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce, which received more comment than all the Ferraris combined! For those who want to watch the Belgian GP tomorrow, some of us gather at 9 AM at the Fado Irish Pub around the corner on Buckhead Avenue. Parking meters are free on Sunday.
Here is a link to a map of the complex. We meet on the short horizontal section of street in the lower left corner; you need to enter off of Buckhead Ave. Also, for Sunday, see Fado in the lower right. https://www.theshopsbuckheadatlanta.com/map
Wish I had known , but I put it on my calender for next month. Anyone going to Caffine and Octane on Sunday?
I might hit the panera show on hwy 92 in woodstock. it's 40-50 cars, calmer, less ridiculous that C&O. 8 am, I think? With Leclerc on pole, I may just watch F1. 4 hours of silverstone is on motortrend online too. sjd
Here's my very poorly edited map to show where to park. We have a space just for Ferraris that's blocked off until 12pm or so. Arrive around 10am, Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not quite fully correct; the traffic goes counterclockwise around the restaurant, so you have to turn right before reaching it; the roadway below and to the right of the restaurant is for northbound traffic only.
I think that's the plan...but I'm a little shake shack'd out. There's one around the corner from the hotel. sjd
I just got back from this morning. I was the newbie with the red with silver stripes F430. What a great group. Really friendly group. Nice to have met some of you. I’ll miss the next one as I’ll be out of town but hope to see you all in November if there’s another meetup. Not sure how you all do it around the holidays.
Image Unavailable, Please Login It was our first time as well and agree that it’s a fabulous group of people. Looking forward to more of these moving forward. Nice selection of Ferrari’s as well! See everyone again next month.
