The first one is 012B. The second looks like 007?

Resurrecting an old thread, does anyone have a picture of the 333 tub? I have never seen a shot of the bare chassis.

a photo I shot in 1994 at Road Atlanta of the 333SP SN#005 in victory circle. the first race and race win for the FERRARI 333SP Image Unavailable, Please Login

was also there for all the other races that the 333SP raced at Road Atlanta aswell as all the Rolex24@ Daytona races it raced and have many more photos of these very SPecial machines that I may post here later if there is any interest.

also, this link has some info on the cars that the OP did not include however Im not certain it is 100% accurate.

yes, #009 was certainly destroyed, it actually got split in half on the 13th lap. I will never forget that sound or the sight of the engine, gearbox, tires, and rear wing assembly sitting in the middle of the track with headers still glowing red while the driver, tub, and nose was over 50 yards away from it.

Barbazza eventually healed and from what Im told became a leader in the deployment for air fence motorcycle crash protection in his home country. this most brutal in car footage you will probably ever see of any racing crash is on youtube. no gore but it is as intense as it gets.

p.s. thankyou speedracer38 for sharing the Daytona Night video! who was driving in that one? they were on it (missed a shift too lol)

I remember trying to stay awake for the whole Rolex24 every year they raced, never could and would fall asleep but anytime there was a 333SP missing or a full course caution, I would wake up!

The 333SPs sound is glorious and they are truly an American Dream.

Spoke to the owner at great length about the car. For instance he has never even started the car since he bought it.

Good reflections of Derek Bell about 333SP:

“I also have to mention the Ferrari 333SP. (Giampiero) Moretti said to me at Daytona, “drive my 333SP Ferrari” (which went on race at Daytona in 1997). That sticks in my mind too. It was a Formula One car with the wheels covered. It was flat bottomed and bloody fantastic.

“We were still running around with 962s trying to make them grip, and do things they weren’t meant to do because they were so heavy and cumbersome. But they served their purpose and we won a lot of races.

“The 333SP bothered me though, with the millions they were spending on Formula One, they couldn’t spend a bit more on sportscars and dominate the world. But that’s history now.

“Anyway, I went out to do three laps and I stayed out for 10 laps. When I came in Moretti came over to me, knelt on the bodywork and smiled. He said “how did you like that then?” and I said “My god that’s the greatest car I’ve ever driven.” And it was, it was the latest, so it should have been the best. At one time I thought the Renault Alpine was because that was such a step up in 1978.

Where is that? Seems like a Ferrari event— maybe it’s just cruising the paddock?
