I will grant that it does look more like a Camaro than a Surry with fringe on top.

Went to official unveiling of the F8 in Sydney Australia.

Coincid definitely can describe the F8 better than i can.

But the car is really good in the flesh

    These are my opinions.

The lines flow beautifully. The front looks the most balanced ( 458/488/Pista ). Side air intake much better execution. The back is better looking in person.

The sills are by far the best. No creases but a slight curve where the rear quarter is. The design actually narrows the waist, unlike changing it for carbon fibre as in the 458/488/Pista.

Dash definitely a thumbs up. Photos make the vents larger than they actually are. Wheel is great , centre horn !

The one thing I really like is that there is no paint on the bottom. Either black plastic or carbon fiber. Great against road rash little scrapes. Change the part.

S duct blends very good and the bonnet is aluminium :)

No dicky head light washers !

Only thing I would prefer is a glass engine lid.

Then you have all the other upgrades, Pista engine, intercoolers , radiators , air intakes and 50 Hp and weight reduction

    Will I change ? Yes / No.

The F8 looks very good in the flesh. If I had the option to buy either F8 or 488 I would pick the F8 100% .

Power increase to me is not a want but all the other improvements are a plus for a Turbo engine and I dare say Ferrari knows that with the challenge cars > Pista.

Question is it worth changing ?

Upgrade to the F8 from the 488 is a win-win. From the enhanced aesthetics to the superior engine and aero dynamic improvements, there is no downside. Simply a case of spending money.

Indeed the F8 seems to be a Pista on a budget - that's why I fell for it ;)

Not quite BUT if you want a car you can daily or at least drive regularly the F8 is a good choice. Thew Pista is capable of regular driving but it is just too special. From an aesthetics standpoint it is on a whole other level.

The 3rd picture of Tsoybelis’s post above, I looked at the F8 and noticed the red car in the distance behind it and thought ‘wow’ that looks great..... Zoomed in to discover it’s a 488. I think all the versions on this platform have merit to the way they look and I still think the 488 is a very sound looking car. 458 Italia might be my least favourite except for the amazing design of its flank and the triple exhaust feature.

    It would be interesting to discuss which order to put all the versions on this platform for design (probably should not be in this thread).... Mine would be;

    Speciale
    Pista
    F8
    458
488 (on a different day I might put the 488 ahead of the 458)

The previous platform, I grew to love the 360 but never really thought the 430 was that great. All cars in the previous platform would be below these for me, save the CS, which would be on a par with 488/458. This platform really has been fantastic.

    1) F8
    2) Pista
    3) 488
    4) 458

Pista- most exciting and track focused look of all Ferraris of the last 2 decades. The rear and front are agressive but not to a gratuitous degree. Fully resolved design from all angles.Form adheres to function in a highly stylistic manner.
F8- Similar to the Pista but not as harmonious a design at every angle of viewing. Less edgy with very tasteful application of aero dynamics.
488- Speciale- Detest the front of the 488. Looks like a simplistic box like structure that was an after thought to an otherwise fluid design. Not wild about the Speciale front either but more pleasing than the 488 or 458
458- Front looks like a curled upward moustache. which is not congruent to the elegant lines of the side and overall shape. Subjectively, not sufficiently exciting for a super car.

I saw both the F8 and the SF90 in the flesh at Pebble. The front end of the F8 looks striking and flows very well. I know they’re trying to harken back to the F40 with the lexan rear window but not sure if it goes well with the rest of the rear end treatment. Might have to grow on me. It does look pretty good overall first impression. IMHO the design team didn’t know exactly how to handle the rear end of the SF90 so they put everything on it:). It kind of misses the mark for me as you could probably put any Brand badge on it and no one would know the difference. It’s less in keeping with Ferrari style and appearance than the F8. Just my 2 cents. From my view the Battista by Pininfarina trumps (no pun intended) both of them, see below:

I agree there the it’s a shame the Battista could be the F90. It’s nearly perfect.

F8 to me the best has all the features of the V8 series
488 Second only because of the F8 improvements
Speciale 3rd because it looks SO much better than the 458 which no one really comments ?
Pista fourth looks to much like a track car. I want luxury
Last 458 never liked it and never wanted to buy one. Waited for the next model. No side intakes Major dislike , A FERRARI trait with rear engines those Whiskas OMG, Seriously ??? Best feature the 458 has is the front prancing horse which has subsequently been dropped

Yes I rated the beloved 458 last. It looks dated compared to the rest. The Pista is spectacular and fixes all that was wrong with the 488.

F8 is a great refresh of the 488 as well.
