I don’t know. But IMO that would only make sense if they are aiming to ramp up production massively. As they say they are not after pure volume but the right mix with more different models I think the existing production capacity should be enough. The article says something about logistical and administrative consolidation. So I wonder if the aim is to bring the car body production closer to the main factory. Currently it’s located a few kilometres away in Modena.

That would be good news if true!

I think it’s the Florim tile factory. Anyway the space is bigger than you’d think at first.

It may have already been answered, but did anyone wrangle out an estimate on production volume?

It's also interesting that the US dealer I buy from "doesn't know anything." Or perhaps I'm not high enough rank to handle the truth.

For my 40th birthday, my family has offered me a travel to maranello this week end. « Universo » is private on this dates ? Travel was booked a long time before Ferrari announce the universo exhibition. Is it a possibility to have access or not ?
I hope I will see some new models around the factory...

No, that’s the 812SF that was on display in the main area. You can see the F8 Tributo in the background.

I was lucky to be 1 of the 1st to see the 812 spider Monday - truly a beautiful looking car...
The grey colour was gorgeous with matching grey alloys , the roof mechanism was clean and quick , the buttresses look retro in a lovely way ...
There are some nice lines around the rear buttresses that mimic the lateral body curves ....
The rear window opens for the noise with the roof up...
I for 1 am smitten - I liked the black glass rear quarters but think the spider will be even more colour sensitive than the coupe - fwiw they SJSU had a ‘flat’ red car there’s which I didn’t find appealing .... this was a no brainer - I’m loving my 812 coupe but will sell to get the spider as 2 cars in 1!
No photos as v strict there ...

Agree for those who are invited it would be nice if nothing leaks on beforehand, the experience will be more intense and surprising.

I will be there the 8th.

Has anyone a clue how many people per day are invited?

I saw a list of about 30-40 at the Universo Ferrari concierge check in for the 4-5 September group, but not sure that’s the entire list.

Jag, thanks. I'm curious to know if the spider's entire profile, with the roof closed, is different than the coupe's profile view, buttresses notwithstanding. More about how it (roof) looks from the side directly above the windows compared to the coupe's, how the folding mechanism changed any of that, if anything...

Main change is the area around the rear buttress - the quarter window looks smaller to me with a gentle contour line from the window up behind the buttress - almost like a mini subtle ‘haunch’- difficult to describe - was easy to seen on the silver car but lost on the flat red car- Head room seemed fine with roof on- however tall drivers may want the carbon sports seats as the electric comfort sears add height ...

They will be released on the 9th. I believe this week is for potential buyers and dealer invitees only, and the viewings after the press release are open for all that are going to Universo Ferrari and those who are there to see the F8 Spider.
Basically a "vip" week and then open viewing
