I feel posting images to social media contrary to head office dictates is ill-mannered...

But that’s a really attractive angle. I’m even more excited for the official public release.

Oh man... I don't know. I am just not really captivated by most of the new models coming out of Maranello....
I wish I was. Every new model used to just drop my jaws open in the past.

Well I hope when I see the real thing I might have a different feel.

MUCH better in person than the photo, which was a very clear breach of what the exclusive preview was all about. Happy to have one on order and disappointed by someone’s lack of moral character with the leaked photo. The design was very well executed.

Have EU already started taking orders, as in full configurator, or just indication of interest?

Slightly disappointing. Like to see the rear but it’s a V12 Portofino right ?

I should clarify...I don’t think anyone has one in the system, just an indication of interest and a hopeful assumption that an invite to the preview will yield an allocation.

Ferrari already identified the person who took the pic, he was on my group.
    You can imagine the consequences.

Can’t understand how and adult person can’t follow a simple indication. It was announced on the main screen, by audio every 5 minutes, phones cameras with stickers and then checked the stickers at the end.

Was there also and agree - disappointed that someone would do that. I thought the car was very well executed and looked great in person. Trunk space was much larger than I was expecting as well.

Doesn’t seem to quite work. Hmmm. The 812 looks way better in person than 2D. Hopefully this does. I do not understand the two straight lines. What wouldn’t they curve them.

Also they had been so successful and so many people had gladly cooperated to keep the secret. I would think Ferrari are immensely unhappy with him.

Just pathetic. To be invited as a VIP guest to pull such a stunt. For those of us still to attend - at least its a crappy picture so the details face to face will be a lot better IMO

1 on the tour in the past they always sticker your phone. I have 2 phones as I assume this photo was taken from a second not disclosed phone or small camera by the look of it. Poor resolution.

    2. Word is official pictures tomorrow from my dealer.

Will be there on the 21st for the public days.

Shame that picture was released. Not how I wanted to get introduced.

Can you add to the back story here? Just curious really but how did they possibly figure out who? CCTV cameras inside?

Still...poor taste in ScottSmith to post it even if he didn't take it.

Eh, I mean, it's an 812 convertible that looks exactly as expected. Chopped the roof at the rear side window and called it a day.

So is this a limited car or a normal model?

Personally I think that photo is an inside job as it’s probably the best angle on the car and what Ferrari VIP customer would risk their relationship over a bit of social media fame?

The spider weighs 3527 lbs dry weight. vs 3362 for coupe. Interestingly, I saw the stats for 0 - 200 km at the event: I think it was 8.3s for the spider, whereas coupe is quoted at 7.9s. Seems consistent with the extra weight. Although I don't think anyone will think the spider feels slow, especially with the roof down!

IMO Much ado ... about nothing.
812Spider is only a few (necessary) bits different from the berlinetta, but Ferrari pretends that to be the best kept secret on Earth. Just like SF Stradales roaming in full camouflage around Maranello, long after people could see it in media reveal and in the flesh on many occasions already.
