He had the car last year. Next year's SF91 might be the best car on the grid. So could Vettel do it? A possibility, but not guaranteed. It'd be his fairy tale ending. But IMO, can't give him any more chances. I've had enough last year.

I really feel like the car is not up to speed , and remember Ferrari had a dry spell from 1979 till 2000 with no world championship until 2000 with Schumacher. 21 years is a long time.

Prioritize Leclerc next year, but Vettel wouldn't work as an assistant.

Ferrari didn't have the fastest car. Mercedes was. So there was an outside chance. Ferrari ****ed up, Vettel ****ed up.

    Forget about it Bas...
The LH44-lovers will never admit that because then they could not tell us how Lewis made this inferior car win....
The fact that Ferrari developed in the wrong direction in the summer break and that Mercedes sorted out their issues with the new rims seems to be totally ignored. As in the previous year: it is not like Ferrari or anybody else had the better car, they all just profited from the time when Mercedes did not get the best out of theirs, be it the Lewis/Nico ****-ups, overheating issues or the tires...apart from these times they just cruised in the sunset from start to finish

The issue is if you gonna blame Lewis championships on the team building a good car, you have to do the same for every previous champion. Every champion in history has had a good car at some point.

But some of them did more to achieve this superior car and some did less... Not necessarily Lewis´ fault that the rules are what they are but still it means others in this car could have achieved the same whereas it is questionable whether others would have achieved what Michael achieved when goining to an inferior Ferrari in 1996.
And as always you try to spin the original post around: it is not the question that others had superior cars as well, it was said that the Mercedes is and not the Ferrari of Seb!
Ergo: even five Championships in a car that won every single title since the hybrid rules came into play is NO proof of greatness....

Why? Who made the rules on being great? Are you saying Schumi years in the dominate Ferrari was'nt great? In that case that would mean he only earned maybe to titles, the remaining five was because he had the best car, is this what you are trying to say?

Vettel finally broke my loyalty last year after losing with a car that could be champion due to boneheaded mistakes. And Fred's best days are behind him. Someone please out Max in Seb's car......TOMORROW for Quali!!

I don't mean to be dramatic but I think this weekend we witnessed the passing of the torch at Ferrari. This weekend's Monza GP is going to be very interesting. If CL takes another win, or at the least beats Vettel again, its going to be tough for Ferrari to justify that level of salary moving forward. Yes, Vettel has done as best as he can for the team and perhaps at times pulled wins when he should not have (and equally lost some he should have won...) - but like Red Bull if Ferrari can think big picture and start to build the team around a legitimate young superstar in CL, that may be what they need to return to the WDC once Hamilton retires and Mercedes falls back to earth. The future of F1 is bright with Verstappen, Leclerc, Albon, and Norris while the sun may have set on Vettel and will in time will set on Hamilton.

Ricciardo looked alright out there today.
Will Red Bull still want poor Seb after today? Again man, REALLY. Doesn't the simulator factor in limited traction over painted curbs?

There just isn't much choice. All drivers are committed long term to other teams apart from the Hulk.

Plus Ferrari's gamble was Leclerc (historically seen at least), not Vettel, they no doubt did not expect Vettel to implode in the way he currently does.
