I guess Hamilton won't play the protective big brother rôle with Leclerc anymore.

That’s the proper response. Charles learned from his tussle with Max that defending harder is allowable. It should simply change your approach if the stewards are allowing tougher battles.

I’m certain Hamilton will balance “elbows out” driving with being the championship leader. I could see he was miffed in his interview and that he really wanted the win. The “young guns” are coming and he wants to keep them in check.

I was hoping he'd get banned for the rest of the season, LOL. That way Ferrari would be forced to replace him. Even Raikkonen at this point would be better.

 

Here an idea
Seb stays in the garage sweeping floors and handing tools to mechanics
His ex car stays in the garage with tire warmers
Charles races, and if an unfortunate event happens ....he gets to rejoin the race in Seb's ( now a spare) car.... untill

 

Will further clutter Vettel's mind. Not a good thing. Ideally LEC will be the clear #1 driver for the rest of season and have a solid wingman. Regardless, a good day overall for Scuderia Ferrari.

 

CL is a legend. Ferrari has it's leader to back going into 2020

Not something I celebrate. It’s tough to see a driver as accomplished as Vettel go through this. Clearly, he’s driving with doubt in his mind and that simply doesn’t align with being a race car driver. Not too long ago, he was Leclerc driving a Minardi to a rainy win (Toro Rossi). Everyone saw him as the future of F1, and for a while he was with the front-running Red Bull. He was exposed by Ricciardo his last year there and it’s been a downward descent since.

It may simply be time for him...actually probably 2 years past the time.

Vettel was fantastic with the blown diffuser cars as he was the only guy who seemed to understand how to use it, once these were gone he did not seem to be able to cope that well.
