The way Charles is developing, he is mature enough we could take Kimi or Gio for next year, and put Mick Schumacher in the Alfa for a year to acclimatise ...... now that makes me excited for the future

Forza Ferrari..... the only racing team and car marque that matters. Italia forever It’s easier to apologise than it is to ask permission

He did to Vettel what CL is doing to him now

Vettel is like Hamilton, great driver when the car is the best but average to poor when they have to fight for it

    Mick.

I hope he gets to F1. If he does, pairing him with LeClerc would be perfect.

On what basis? Last name? Ferrari should get a proven star. Hamilton, verstappen are the only names worthy.

I’d go with a young new driver

And I would do it soon...don’t wait another year.

Leclerc and Verstappen would never play well together on the same team. Ferrari needs to adopt the Mercedes plan: back your top driver by paring him with a teammate who isn't a challenge. This creates less drama and makes strategy calls simple.

Kimi would be good, but he is rather aged and can be erratic. Ricci and Chuck would tangle with each other, so that's a no. Take Bottas. lol It would throw a curve ball at Merc as they would need another tailgunner that would not challenge Ham. That would be hard to find.

We don’t want the dope that is Elton, and Verstappen would just battle LeClerc. We want a second driver, either a young novice to learn the ropes and develop while Charles takes on the team leader mantle, or someone like Kimi, bottles, who would play second fiddle for the money and grab points

That's why Riccardo came to my mind. At this point, I hope he understood that is better to be a #2 in a tier 1 team, than being a #1 on tier 2...

The problem is, Ricci doesn't want to be a #2 anywhere.

Yes, probably. But I imagine a red (or silver) seat can change his mind.

If Ferrari offered him Kimi's seat, I think he would have taken it because he knew it would be a matter of time before Seb retires. With Chuck there, he will never be #1. As for Merc, Ham probably won't retire until he is 8x WDC.

Interestingly Mark Hughes (Motorsport Mag) just commented: "[Alonso] He is campaigning Ferrari very heavily. Ferrari so far not responsive."

Mick Schumacher has demonstrared to be a good driver. Is he talented at the same level of Verstappen, Leclerc, Norris, etc.?? NO! The only important result he had in his career was winning the Euro F2 in the best team, just like Stroll.

Ricciardo, Hulkenberg, Verstappen, Norris, etc, would all be good choices to join the Scuderia.

Ricciardo had signed an option with Ferrari, I don't remember if it was in 2017 or 2018 (?), I think 2017. The option was "one way only", at Ferrari's initiative, meaning it was only Ferrari who could took decide to close it, then D.R would have been a Ferrari driver. The option expired on June 30th, and according to Daniel Ricciardo himself in an interview, he never was under the impression that they had actually the intention to close it, or even some serious interest from them.

Mick Schumacher doesn't look that impressive to me.
The F2 scoreboard shows him well down the order.
I know it's his first year in F2 , and he is expected to improve, but other newcomers did better.

I suspect Russell could be better, but maybe we will never know.
Russell was faster than Albon and Norris in F2, but fate made him land at Williams.

Lando or George please. I'm not sure about GIO, plus an Italian driver may be hard to extract if he's not up to it.
