Great video Alberto, thanks for sharing!
there is a very interesting interview of an Italian Schedoni (and turbo...) collector on Scuderia Magazine, issue No.126, summer 2019. http://www.scuderia-mag.com/ ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Question Albert; Do you use the dust covers when actually using your luggage in the car? I want to take a trip using my luggage set but don’t want to get any stains (oil and such) on the covers or the leather. I was thinking of covering the bags with plastic garbage bags but it would look just awful. Maybe a trunk liner of some sort? Any ideas?
Dust covers were made to protect the luggage set during the storage in a wardrobe or so. I always remove the dust covers before introducing the suitcases into the trunk. The only hazard for the luggage set when it is deployed into the trunk is some rain when you open the engine lid (only if it's raining, of course) or a rain leak through a bad trunk gasket so maybe you can put a nylon bag or a nylon sheet around them. I usually don't use anything. Ciao
ladies and gentlemen, the legend: Mauro Schedoni, at his Atelier, last week. A legend and a very nice guy too, which I'm proud to be a friend of. Picture Copyright: me. ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login
No, Elder: Mr. Schedoni holds a copy of the Japanese magazine "Scuderia" where there is the interview with an Italian Schedoni collector. Ciao
When I was in college I wrote small paperwork on this topic. I was surprised that many students do not write such works themselves, but they buy college essays online about which you can read more. I was a little upset by this fact since I believe that the main goal of students is self-development. Such lessons should motivate students to learn something new, but in the end, everything is exactly the opposite.
here there are the new Ferrari modular suitcases, pictures taken by me last weekend at Universo Ferrari. At first sight they don't look good at all, but after touching and opening them you can appreciate their lightness and very low thickness. Probably they wanted some "high tech" look. Ferrari design. They will be produced by Schedoni again. Unfortunately they are no more for a specific car, so the famous "model matching designed" luggage set will disappear: each car will accomodate a mix of the suitcase standard range. I just saw black leather ones, "hammered" finish. I was told by the Ferrari seller that they cannot have anymore the model name embossed or printed on the suitcase outer surface ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login View attachment 2823690 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Worst decision ever to leave the model badges for 10€ more profit on each luggage It has been something exclusive and authentic to own a luggage for the own model... now it’s going to be meaningless luggage of high quality. Save and care about your Schedoni luggages as long as you can! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Yes I was very disappointed: nice suitcases, but now they are no more linked to a car so they are no more a car spare part like before. Maybe you like or not to have a suitcase set, but it was a part of the car: now it's just a bunch of suitcases you put in the trunk. They are no more tailor made for your car, and this is a big loss, in my opinion Hope Ferrari will change its mind in the future ciao
Thank you for posting the detailed photos and description. I agree, the move away from a dedicated model-specific set to a generic, albeit lovely, set is an unwelcome, and unsurprising, development.
There have been those 70s/80s Canvas style luggages like the 308 pouch. Those have been authentic at least the still feel special and desired today. Maybe it’s the modern design that i don’t like but maybe they should just do a retro design if they want to leave the model specific luggages. It could be cool combination together with modern cars. But seems like they decided for modern car = modern luggage. Who actually cares about 50grams less net weight? They could just reincarnate the old design maybe as trolley so that is convenient to travel even longer distances... Did they ever even ask customers ? But maybe the sales statistics of the luggages themselves killed them... Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Do you mean this? This is 40 years old and still looks desiderable. In my opinion they eliminated the custome luggage for each model just to reduce costs and earn more money: but they lost something, I think ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes these ones are still desirable even though they weren’t custom fit to any model. This design in a revival with modern aspects like rolls to use it in airport would have been the killer! Anyone got connections to Modena and wants to hire me? I got a lot of ideas Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
