    I have done some more research and there was a transition point as best as I can work out late 77 to the fabric pouch. This would mean however even cars delivered in 78 may well have the leather pouch.

    That tallies with 77 switch depending on when cars were delivered etc.

    That’s plain weird...but it’s a Ferrari. Still...I never heard of a 76 or 77 originally having a cloth pouch. Not sure any cars had cloth those years...

    Everything else in the car is original down to the ignition key, warranty card, owners manual, tool kit, etc. Not sure why the pouch would be any different. Can’t be certain though that this is the original one. It’s a euro and one of the first 50 made. Possibly that is a contributing factor. Who knows.
