Not only was the LaF a surprise participant yesterday, but after lunch they put everyone's name in a hat and drew three out to do a couple of hot laps with an instructor. Guess who's name came out first? Not mine. Bloody Chloe! She saw 200mph down the straight and couldn't stop laughing afterwards. I was more than a little jealous... Watched the whole race on delay, so skipped that bit, and a few of the slow bits, and all the ads. Quite enjoyed it for once
Pretty much. I always mute the anthem, especially if some DH reality TV show goose is singing it. (And, of course, if there’s any chance of a “Welcome to Country” in there somewhere). I have no interest in the racing taxis, but I did watch bits and pieces today including the last hour or so. If nothing else, I learnt that it’s not only F1 who have to slow cars down for stupid reasons like fuel consumption. Having said that, it was fairly entertaining until the last safety car.
