    Good afternoon all,

so I have been reading threads where this component or the other failed while on the road. I wanted to know what emergency components (NOT tools) one should have in the trunk?

Fuel pump relay would be first , then what else?

I carry fuses, a quart of oil, a funnel, a screwdriver, and I may have half a bottle of coolant in there.

Belts and tools to change belts? Hell no. I also don't carry a spare or jack.

With your insurance company's number in it's memory.

With your preferred Ferrari specialist's number in it's memory

And work out at which point you are going to call the fire brigade. Is fuel leak dripping near a hot engine and vapourising enough?

    I called all three

    Its a good question.

I don't carry a lot of spares. I do carry belts. My fuel pump is still original so I carry an old (working) used one a friend gave me. Otherwise, I carry stuff like waterproof duct tape which isn't really a spare part but can repair some types of hose leaks.

… I just upgraded my AAA towing insurance to 200 mile radius as I am headed out on a 500 mile trip into the mountains this weekend (Virginia City Hill Climb).

I used a piece of house wire and a twist tie that I found on the side of the road.
