    Pleasure, as always.
Yes, it was indeed a sensational event, organised by true enthusiasts and passionate Ferraristi, not too many cars, no fakes or replicas, no questionable vehicles with dubious histories, no factory involvement, a wonderful group of owners, all very motivated and highly knowledgeable, super friendly, sensational countryside, interesting visits, fantastic weather, absolutely everything was first class. Exactly as it should be.
A HUGE THANK YOU to Clive Beecham, Franco Majno, Elena Preda and Silvia Bettina, the Carrozzeria Touring people, and all the others who were extremely helpful and nice.

Is there any particular reason for some of the cars having downturned horizontal slats on the egg crate grilles?

This 0122A has to be the prettiest one of the berlinettas. What sets it apart are those beautiful rear bumpers. By contrast the front bumpers are simple and crude. Do we know if this car started with a different front treatment? Thanks.

Thanks and very interesting... the car started with no bumpers at all. Maybe those rear bumpers are 275GTB front bumpers (?)... They really make the car.

Marcel are you sure about 1950? According to the papers I have the car was finished in may 1951.

I have some old pictures from 1958 which so the the car aleady had these bumpers, so no 275 GTB.

I don't own the copyright of these pictures so I will show only a bumper..

And in 1958 it had front bumpers. Mister Swaters allowed me to take this picture from a picture he had from the car.

Could be because the car didn't have bumpers at all for many years. I had the privilege to visit the owner and the car in 2017 and at that time it had no bumpers

Thanks Bert, but you have to admit that the rear bumpers today are longer than the ones in your b/w picture.

I'd be curious to know how far the entry fee for this event was from the 17k Euros (+ vat) requested by Ferrari to take part in the Roman Cavalcade.
