The largest option cost is the $69k "special edition" (can't recall the exact name of the option). From there the carbon Fiber options are very expensive especially for the engine. It adds up fast.

Oh gee, now I’m leaning back to Stradale from F8...

Can anyone answer these two questions?
    1. Does the engine recharge the battery at all? For instance, if I take a trip, what functionality do I lose if I don’t plug it in for a week or so?

    2. Is there a rear camera digital mirror?

    3. Is this a crazy idea? Oh never mind...

F8 is a better choice all the way up ;) , a very beautiful car, a desirable car. Otherwise the SF90 is NOT a good investment. very risky ;) and moreover it's not a desirable car, at least for the public.

Says who? The SF90 has more buying demand than the F8 at present. Any kid who dreams of buying a Ferrari would buy a SF90 ahead of a F8 and this is the definition of desirability. Neither car is an investment, both will drop in value, but I don’t see why one is more risky than the other. If you imply that the SF90 will depreciate faster, think again.
It is ok not to like the SF90 and prefer the F8. Engaging in a smear campaign is not ok.

Where I live [Dubai] .. every1 likes the f8 way more more than SF90, that if they liked the SF90 at all, and I'm taking about not less than 2000 members of my club. They all have supercars from different manufactures.

As for the f8, they love it, they adore it and they desire it. Same goes to 812gts. Which is NOT the same case with the SF90. Maybe It's a matter of taste especially in a place like Dubai, where people have special desires for supercars.
The middle East is 1 of the biggest markets for Ferrari, tell me if I'm wrong.

And why I think the f8 is better investment, it's because it's the last v8, it will live in Ferrari history as the last 1 [a unique opportunity] ..

As for the F90 with its hybird technology [u know what I mean] too risky! With all the problems associated with any new technology.. I guess the SF90 replacement will be better choice then. But as for now the F8 is a very solid choice. A choice that will never be available again in the future. The last v8.

Oh **** off with this "not a desirable car" for the public. I'm pretty sure they'll sell just fine to plenty of people.

If anything the F8 is a Pista bodykit that will be worth just as much as a 488, and then a 458, and then a 430... all the way down to the floor where models pile up.

Last V8 lol. It's not the last -- the SF90 has a V8! The F8 will be just as unloved as the 488 and the 430 and the 360 and all the other normal series cars over time. It's a standard car that eventually will fall out of favor as the replacement show up. Hell, the 488 wasn't even a very well received when it was brand new, so I don't see why you think a 488 with a bodykit will be.

This "last of" thinking is so dumb. Last of this, last of that. Last of the non-GPF is the current hot "last of" trend.

So nobody knows what the digital rear view mirror is?

And nobody knows how it works on a road trip with no plug in?

I’m completely aware neither car is an investment. I’m completely aware that Dubai hates the SF 90. I’m completely aware that this is new technology.

My real questions were about the mirror and travel. Does anyone know that?

I would venture that it is similar to what Land Rover has. A camera that projects the rear view image on the rear view mirror.

Would the camera be in the fin as some hypothesized?

The camera is likely at the rear bumper as usual. I don't think it would make much sense to put the reverse camera in a place where it can't see the ground behind you.

Can't you actually see it in the opening below the license plate in the real life shot? I'm not sure it's on the render, but I was almost positive you could see it in real photos.

So it is simply a reverse camera? Those are mandatory now. The option listed in the configurator is digital rear view mirror with a picture of the rear view mirror, which sounded different to me. I cannot find any further description.

Ah, I see what you're saying. I misunderstood. Yeah, if it's an actual digital rear view mirror/LCD then it must have another camera. The fin seems like a logical place for it.

If it is what I think it is, Land Rover already offers it, so it wouldn't make sense to brag about something that a car that costs 10 times less has it...
