As stated on the qually thread, it was on. You need to check www.TVRacer.com for your racing programming.
Are you guys talking about the angle where it looks like the car is driving over the camera? It’s a pointless view..but didn’t bother me. I just don’t see the point of it, it gives no perspective, all the cars look the same and appear the same speed.
I think you have to be a Brit to put up with all the talk about curry's and god knows what other banter. He is just about the only one who hasn't done any racing i believe, i assume so he can talk at a level new F1 fans can understand without being too technical. He is actually quite a likeable 'bloke' in person..
Croft isn't all that bad. Yes he does talk a lot of nonsense at times and tends to be biased towards (we know who). I don't mind him too much though. Then there's Will Buxton..... Now you really DON'T wanna be listening to him!
They put it on garabage channels that no one has. If it's something that would normally air on ESPN or ESPN 2 they should allow people who have those to at least stream it off the website.
You could say the same about Karun Chandhok. Very knowledgeable guy, but good gosh does he blabber on.
Crofty and Karun are bad, but they CANNOT be the worst team ever without Leigh Diffey Diffey wins the lifetime achievement award for worst motorsports commentator ever. Period
Not sure what the coverage on us is like but compared Sky to channel 4 here in the UK today. Ok channel 4 is not live, but with dc and Webber it is far far better than sky, also had good commentary with Horner.
That's the problem with modern F1: it has become very complex to follow and also to comment. Ex-F1 drivers like Karun Chandhok or Alan McNish try to explain all the technical intricacies, and that often goes over the heads of most watchers. I have seen McNish spending time with his graphs explaining this and that, and wondering if the average punter hasn't switched off his box already! Chandhok can be the same; he does go on and and on, to become a real turn off.
There you go then.....variety makes the world go round. I'd rather hear what they've got to say then who might be here, who might be there; and what Hamilton has to wear. What will be will be; 'can't change any of that. Yup, 'much rather have technical explanations of what is then the bs fluff. This is F1, not IndyCar.
Crofty like Diffey is insufferable and adds nothing but noise and British bias, but what do we expect when we get the British feed.
