Does the 458 spider have any issues with its electric roof, ie is it reliable ?

I have 13000 mi on my 2014 Spider. Only problem was a 1 minute fix to adjust the tension on one of the cables.

Also suggest you get the mods4cars module. You’ll love it.

I operate my roof almost every day.
The roof design is really a game changer. Extremely reliable.

(More trouble-free than the California/ Portofino)

What issue did you have that made you adjust the tension of the cable?
I'm currently having a problem with mine opening and looking for options.
    Thanks

On my 2012 with 40'000km all was fine, but the closure ended sometimes (say 1 out of 10) showing an alarm message of roof not completely closed (but it was actually completely closed, and all working).
I had the car checked at the first service, and sure they sorted the issue out in 5 minutes by adjusting something. I don't know if they adjusted something mechanical or maybe they adjusted some switch position, what I can say is the message never appeared again; the roof was then working perfectly, but it was even before the adjustment.

Do you operate yours on the move?
I have it fitted to mine but haven’t tried that as yet
