Yes, and when they replace Vettel, they should go for an up-and-coming Young driver, and not repeat the mistake of chosing a fading star.
Amazing Charles despite the car still not having the low speed grip of the MB still able to school hammy on this street circuit. The MB will have better tire wear with the MB spec Pirelli but still Ferrari have monster driver on their hands
+1 Charles is the real deal. With Norris, Verstappen and LeClerc we're in for a good decade of racing
Great Qualifying, LeClerc out drives Vettel again and an impressive job by Hamilton to get in between the two faster Ferraris
Are you sure Ferrari was better? I think Leclerc out drove Lewis. This track is supposed to favor Mercedes.

Just watching quali highlights and noticed the indicator type stalk being activated by Vettel behind the paddles, is this the DRS or something else?
Which would seem to suggest the title battle should be a lot closer. Ferrari mistakes + Hamilton consistency is why things sit where they do currently.
Merc supposed to be faster but it didn't end up that way. There's only 2 tenths between Vettel and LeClerc showing that is the true pace of the car and 7 tenths between Hamilton and Bottas; the normal gap between them is 2-3 tenths showing Hamilton out drove his car by around 4 tenths.
Actually, this was supposed to be all about Max but Ferrari out-Bulled the Red Bull. This race will be all about the drag race to T1. Ferrari has the faster car, so you’d have to think Charles looks good for 3 straight wins
It's a bummer for Ricciardo, just when we thought Renault was doing better. If I remember right, Ricciardo had the same problem years ago also with a Renault PU, but at the back of a Red Bull !!!
I recall at the end of last year quite a few saying Ferrari should have kept Raikkonen for another year and Leclerc either stay at Sauber or go to Haas for a year. I wonder if anyone is still saying that now?
I'm starting to think the Ferrari was closer in performance all along the last 3 years, just needed the driver to get the most out of it. Also seems Lewis recently has been making the Mercedes look even better than what it is
Not so much "pace", but that the Ferrari seems to eat its tires faster. So the Merc *appears* to have better pace toward the end of the stints, when the Ferraris' tires are more worn than the Mercs'. Or so it appears from the last few races. Qualy is about one or two laps. But when you have to string together a bunch, tire wear makes a difference.
Having Ferrari get a 1 & 3 on the grid was fine. Spotting Nico Hulkenberg's GF....finest! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hope everyone is happy. The Ferraris looked more planted, the Mercedes more nervous. Hope it stays this way for the race. Mercedes race pace and tire wear won't be good if they have to dance around like that for two hours. Vettel seems resigned to his driving level at this time. But if he keeps it on and helps as a good number 2, I'll be satisfied.
I’m one of the people that was saying that. I thought it was too soon, the pressure would be too high, they would burn him out and throw him away, the Italian press would be out for blood... you know. I always knew Leclerc would be good. I just didn’t think he would be this good, this soon. So yes, I stand corrected. Happily so.
