I stand corrected, as well. And VERY happily so.

Now with Kimi gone, the implosion of Sebastian Vettel as a racing driver becomes clear. After fleeing his “home” at Red Bull, being crushed by the young Ricci, he created a “comfort zone” for himself at Ferrari - where he could always rely on a reliable #2 driver (whom was contractually kept on a leash).

The Little Prince doesn’t accept that kind of situation and doesnˋt hesitate to outshine “the master” - wherever and whenever he wants to.

(That being said, I think Sebastian to be a much nicer, more sincere and far more intelligent guy than LH.)

What a complete load of BS. So he is completely disqualified for an infringement on his 2nd fastest lap.

    What’s the point?

So the stewards are now turning their attention to technical detail because they have been told to leave the drivers alone and have nothing else to do?

    Another sad day for F1.

So what does that memo mean? Ricci doesn't get to race, or he starts in Malaysia?

Albon and Ocon might take that list, too. Time will tell. But, you are 100% correct. Now if there were enough win-capable cars for them to drive.

Try to see the bright side of this.
If a technical infringement is to be found, it's better before the race than after.
At least Ricciardo can take part, and Renault will have hopefully corrected their mistake before the race.

Albon looking poised to take the 2nd seat at Red Bull based on his performances so far...just a few races in and he is only marginally adrift from max.

No doubt a better candidate than Gasly.

7 tenths, similar gap as between Ham and Bottas. Still a bit too much, but indeed better than Gastly on average.

Thank god we have Leclerc, can you imagine how much he would be dominating if he was driving for Mercedes?

I disagree, he would be showing Hamilton a clean pair of heals, he is the fastest driver in F1 now, thankfully he drives for the good guys rather than the evil empire.

Would Toto allow him to do that to his golden boy? He let Ham and Nico go at it, and it almost destroyed the team.

Difference is that Charles does not take orders and would just quietly beat Hamilton, that is why Bottas the butler got another season instead of Ocon so the ballerina would not be pressured.

If he didn't take orders, he wouldn't be beating Ham quietly. If Niki were alive, he'd let them race. Toto, I'm not so sure.

Not only that. Toto is interested by a streak of 6 or 7 WDCs won by the same Mercedes driver.
Rosberg interupted that and Toto was furious.
I don't think he wants to repeat the experience.

As long as Toto thinks Hamilton can do the job, any driver joining Mercedes has to take orders and accept to be Number 2.
Toto Wolff leads his team to bring more success to Mercedes, not to let his drivers fight to entertain the public.

More wishful dreams... If Hamilton has done anything over the last 3 seasons it's prove he's not Vettel. Speaking of Vettel he looked absolutely dejected in thr orest qualifying conference.

I don't think that would be a good idea.
Hamilton has only a few more years to give, and I think his best is behind him already.

He's not the Ferrari is faster; Hamilton did an amazing job beating Vettel to second position the car has no business being there but Hamilton made the difference. We're in for a good race tomorrow.
