It was well worth it! The lobster was the ladies choice and it was quite good. To much cream cheese for me. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I did a Costco shop and was hungry after. Did an A&W Beyond Meat burger and onion rings. Not as good as Burger Kings. I'll stick with my usual there.
Last few meals in Wyoming before the move to London. Cleaning out the pantry and fridge led to this meal: Grilled chicken with off-the-cob Elote: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Next up, we had some Risotto rice left and not much else. Found a small chunk of Parm in the fridge and then I saw an old glass jar of saffron way back on the spice cabinet. Had to be 12+ years old. We didn't let that bother us, as we whipped up some Risotto Milanese. Fun to make and really yummy: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Final night with Ania was last night (she flies to London today). So we went to our go-to "favorite meal". Grilled Flannery dry-aged Ribeye, with grilled potato and, this time, rather than grilled corn on the cob, we finished up the last of the Elote. Also had a small piece of onion left, so grilled that too. It was very thick cut of beef and I struggled with getting the temp where I wanted it. The outside had a big-time crust, but the middle went past rare to medium. Oh well, was still tasty. Served with the last bottle of nicer wine in the house, an SQN Grenache. Its cold here already and snow on the mountain tops nearby, so we made a fire and enjoyed our last night. Good times, will greatly miss Wyoming... A great meal with a bittersweet ending. I’m usually in Wyoming this time of year up in Cody. Had to miss it this year for the first time in a long time. Heard the Bear Tooth pass has already been closed due to snow. Not sure if for the season. Might have heard Kanye West just bought a 9,000 acre ranch near Cody. He rented out an outdoor area at the BBCW at noon today for a church service.
If still in Firenze try this place. Recommended by AzIt. Pizza #1 on their menu. Wild boar and local cheeses. Sit at the bar. La Bussola Via Porta Rossa, 56r, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy +39 055 293376 https://goo.gl/maps/t55AWa5rjJmo7SzC8 Image Unavailable, Please Login
I usually like a light meal when I get home from travel. But, there was a VFD charity bbq in the tiny town of Rosston Texas. And I was starving! Image Unavailable, Please Login Tasted great. T
Some of the best VFD que we've had in a while. We've only done a few pancake breakfasts. They're not as common around here as the dinners though. Good cause and a good excuse to get out into the country...T
