I disagree. Most people on here I like and respect. There is a handful which I could do without (luckily some of them have been eliminated, Singhof included), but for the most part I like the folks around here and wouldn't want them to be gone.
The joke failed, my bad. I meant that when daytona355 got banned Ferrari won the first race of the season and now another ban and first 1-2 of the season. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe some tifosi need to be sacrificed to the obscure Gods of the internet.
Maybe Stroll is not the worst driver ever, but he has some privileges that are almost medieval. I wouldn't feel very comfortable cheering for that. End of Off-Topic.
Mentioning Alesi when we are talking stroll can only be considered as trolling, and in fact is. In fact, unlike your canadian friend, I can present several drivers, journalists, team bosses and other f.1 related people that will atest to Jean outstandig ability . Of course all of this is pointless since you only have to open your eyes and watch him race...but i guess you skipped that part.
Ah yes. I read your explanation. Brilliant. Sad thing about permanent bans is no countdown threads, but a Win is a Win. Regardless, who shall be the sacrificial lamb for Sochi ?
I think he will not have 'F1' on his screen,so no reading even. Personally it seems the Mod's just got fed up trying to help him to change his way of arguing to death ,not being flexible at all. I never met Pete ,but must admit his constant talk about #44 was a bit tiresome. Back and forth for ever, but hey no one is perfect and everyone is entitled to their opinion. With Pete he is right and you are wrong, full stop,a never ending battle which nobody really enjoys. Anyhow, he has chosen not to participate in this forum, under the conditions offered by the Mod's ,so i guess he is happy with that, his choice.
Careful now. You might get banned. And just to be clear, an LH fan getting banned on F-Chat is not an advantage for Merc like Sid getting banned is for Scuderia Ferrari.
Funny how the most ardent Vettel apologists and Hamilton haters believe they are fair-minded with "no agenda." PS was as guilty of trolling (including myself in the Netflix interview of Hamilton thread) as much as anyone he accused. Pot kettle black.
You're probably missing the fact that furoni often ranked Alesi, the one-hit-wonder as the best ever driver. Of course he is entitled to his opinion, but my point is that if somebody really is that much of a fan for a one time winner he probably walks on thin ice calling others out for their fandom. I like Alesi. A lot actually but he was never WDC material, not even close. And I like Stroll a lot too. Also of course no WDC material either, but fun to watch. PS: F1 history is full of pay drivers and kids of rich fathers. Stroll didn't invent that game, not by a long shot.
Indeed. There is a reason I used the adjective German in my post. Something I haven't really seen here by anyone else.
Every "conversation" I remember with him ended in a sort of arm wrestling with him trying to beat you into submission with his "superior intelligence". From what I read, the "exchange" he had with the mods were the same.
This is just rich. A thread was started to wish Peter well following his banishment/departure from this thread. Some of you should really go back and read the OP. So despite a clearly defined purpose, it has devolved into casting aspersions on Peter. This really should be a thread where if you have nothing nice to say here re: Peter then just let it go and say nothing at all. Nonetheless, Peter is Tifoso and I know nothing on this thread deterred him from thoroughly enjoying Vettel's win in Singapore. http://classiccarphotography.de/
It's always classy when you try to talk down people that can't reply, as Nortonious said, this thread is to honor a felow tiffosi, someone that loves Ferrari, that is very knowledgeable about it and that as always contributed a lot to this section and fchat in general, unlike most of his detractors. So if your intention is to slam, or attack him, i would suggest you guys search another place to do it, or at least read again the title of the thread, because you're clearly in the wrong place.
Please don't let the facts get in your way but, can you please show the pont where i said Alesi was the best driver ever? Or even that he was my favourire driver ever? Don't bother, we both know you made it up, because everyone knows that: Gilles was the best driver ever. Gilles was my favourite driver ever. now that we got this straight we can adress jean. he was no doubt one of my favourite drivers (probably second after Gilles, and he was also one of the most talented drivers i ever saw, imo he was better than Mika. In fact, Michael, Mika and Jean, where a step above all others, michael probably 2 steps. He was by far the most complete of the 3, although i reckon on a single lap Mika was probably faster, but again in terms of car control, driving in the wet for example, both Michael and Jean were vastly superior to Mika. And on a street circuit like Monaco, they would also be ahead of Mika.
First you chastise users for not keeping to "the topic" then you immediately post a lengthy off topic reply. In any case, Sid violated "the topic" in the very first post by using it as a platform to go off on other users. Accordingly, I've just removed the Forza Ferrari tag, as invalid from the get go.
Problem was not the off topic "per se" but the intent of the off topic wich is a very different thing.
So do i, moving on, just been watching last few pictures from Pete on the Vintage section...amazing events, a big thanks to him and the few others that spend their time sharing those wonderful pictures with the rest of us.
Ultimately these dreadful situations keep occurring seemingly because some (not all) mods and perhaps the F-Chat organization value compliance and not intent. Because of this issue we end up with malicious compliance from users with ill will and hidden agendas pushing the buttons of the genuine tifosi.
