Looks good! Hope it lives up to expectations. Any users here? Here is the link to ordering, etc. (no affiliation) https://sliplo.com/product/universal-skid-plate-front-lip-protection-diy-kit/
I would think you not could see them from the top, I like the fact no drilling in the bumper and you can always remove them if you like . I have been lucky no scrapes at all but I am super careful wend turning in drive ways
When I bought my 430 (earlier this year from a Lamborghini dealer) they put a black coating on the bottom of the front bumper that is thick and very durable. I have scraped the bottom of the car a couple of times (when not paying attention when backing out of the driveway) and it looks perfect still. The coating, although at no cost to me when I bought the car, is normally only $125. They did a nice clean job and it looks like it could have come from the factory that way. I prefer the look of the paint/coating to the design of the product highlighted above. But whatever works is good.
Take one $18 sheet of textured 3mm thick ABS, cut to shape using some DIY cardboard templates, affix with 3M VHB, and there you go. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dr. Scrape (Scrapé in France). Has to be legit he’s a doctor wearing a white lab coat. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
That's the cheesiest ad - and product - made me LOL. Get Hills Engineering skid plates. Had them on all my cars for 12 years
Similar to mwstewart’s solution, I ordered 2 carbon fiber sheets from eBay, cut them to shape and used 3M VHB to attach. Works very well. Next time I’ll use ABS as you can’t see it, easier to cut/form, and cheaper. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Unfortunately carbon has low abrasion resistance - it will protect your bumper but in a very sacrificial way. The composite material of choice for that type of application is normally Kevlar.
