    Hi All

As I start my search for a 360, I note that for F1 gearboxes you have the TCU (transmission control unit) which records everything.

Is there anything similar for Manual Cars?

    Thanks

NO, on MT cars it doesn't record everything

one of the ways to do it, is to remove your instrument cluster, and look very closely to the screws that holds the back cover of the cluster to it.

See if those screws are ever unscrewed. Just a hint. If nothing touched, chances are the reading is orignial. If somebody wants to clock the mileage, they need to remove the back cover.

but if the cluster has been fixed due to other reasons, such as no light, those screws have to come off too. So....

Multiple history reports from different sources is a good starting point.

When I looked at the Carfax for my car, it had a nice, smooth history of ownership, service and mileage right there in black and white. Nobody could change the mileage on my car without it being incredibly obvious. I suggest starting there, at the digital records available online.
