Not yet :( Getting married next month hence my absence. What's his name? Congratulations!
So I have been officially advised that the Minutes are NOT available to members since we do not have a clause in the constitution to allow this. Perhaps the first action of any new committee should be to rectify this?
With good reason at the moment. The behaviour would change if it were up for public scrutiny, I'd suggest.
I vote for you making a stand on this. Start asking the hard questions, take them to court; you never lose. It's not as if you have anything else to do.
I already made an application for a special resolution to change the constitution, but Grahame Demarco apparently didn't like it. Maybe I'll do the one I proposed for this year and another for the minutes for next time. The current regime will never approve it, and even if they did, try getting it backdated to include previous minutes!!! Oh I'd LOVE to see those previous minutes circulated!
Just got an email from the ACTUAL Vic pres. It was a retraction of the previous UNAUTHORISED email and didn't show support for either individual and sent blank and pre-filled proxy forms for both applicants. What a cheap shot by someone with access to the members' email addresses. Vote Ian B!!!
Still haven't received any 'hardcopy' voting papers which I suspect would make any outcome null and void, should it be challenged; not to mention the Victorian mess.
I wonder if members have been smart enough to put two and two together regarding that first email from "Victorian president /committee"? Anyone still backing grahame on this issue should be ashamed of themselves.
If he doesn't get up, maybe I should ask for my voting papers back, to make sure they've not been tampered with
But is there a clause in the Constitution that prohibits the distribution of the minutes on request? If not, I don’t see what’s legitimately stopping them. I’m relatively new to the club but none of this passes the pub test IMHO Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am normally a viewer not an engager on here...but was relieved to discover that the original 'Vic President' email overtly promoting Grahame was not penned by Trent. Had assumed it originated from Trent due to the F1 reference and was pleased to receive his neutral email of today recanting the original DeMarco? email and pleading equality for both candidates. Aside from the inappropriateness of the first 'Vic President' email, I believe two key issues remain: 1. Request that completed proxy forms be sent to - I assume - Tony DeMarco. Does this not bypass FCA governance processes and the role of the National Secretary? 2. Use of beguiling terminology 'To show our support' ...'We thank you, our Victorian Ferrari family' as emotional blackmail to entice votes. I know both candidates and all I can say is may the 'best' man (on the day) win - but lets make it a fair race. Janne
Ok. Because there’s a fair chance I’ll Fuchs it up let’s get some crystal clear instructions. I’m printing out my forms now and I want to vote for Mel B’s brother. Do I simply appoint him as my proxy on both pages and then tick “My proxy can vote for me” in all of the boxes? Then sign it and send it to him (or someone else whom is attending)? Can I scan and email to him or do I have to send by snail mail?
The instructions from the National Secretary are very clear: 'Please scan or take a photos of the completed proxy forms and email them as attachments to [email protected] or post to FCA Secretary, 198 Oxley Drive, Mittagong NSW 2575 to be received no later than 2:00pm on Sunday 20th October 2019' The Secretary ensures that correct governance procedures are followed under the Incorporated Associations Act. You may wish to copy your proxy on the email.
as a PAID member for 30 + years I have not received any voting ability either by post or email. What's going on here ??????
