Looking for a machinist/machine shop that will work with a hobbyist/individual (me) on a small run project. Every shop I have contacted so far will only do business-to-business projects. I need some custom unions made to adapt a 1984/1985 308 QV air injection system to my 1983 308 QV (1983 heads use a one year only union/nozzle between the head and air rail).

    Here's the specs.
Air Injection (smog pump) Union Specification
This is a high heat application with no o-ring provision required; threads should begin at the base of the hex. The 14M side will use a crush washer where the base of the hex contacts the engine head.

    8 unions required
Material: steel or possibly stainless steel

    Side 1: 16M X 1.5 thread, 9mm long, concave end cap: 14mm reduced to 10.7mm i.d.
    Side 2: 14M X 1.5 thread, 10mm long, flat end cap
    Hex thickness: 5mm
    Hex width (socket size): 19mm
    Central air passage: ¼”
Overall length: 24mm (side 1 length + side 2 length + hex thickness)

Over 140 views and no replies. Time and materials contract folks. There has got to be someone out there that can make these.

After months of scouring the planet for various bits and pieces of the original 1983 emission system, my 308 is now complete and passed the stringent Colorado emission test. I feel sorry for any other 308 owner that has to go through this. The expense is outrageous!

I have a friend who fabricates parts for Ferrari cars and was a former fabricator for a F1 team. I can give you his name and company address and contact me at [email protected]

No longer needing a fabricator at this time, but thanks for the offer. The 308 is running great. Its nice to have her back on the road again.
