348 Injector and rail refurbish

    I sent injectors to Mr Injector, the turn around time door to door was less than a week. Rebuilt, cleaned, new seals etc plus flow report. Idles a tad smoother. The fuel rails get pitted and corroded, it makes sense to powercoat the rails at the same time. I refinished them in silver. When putting them back together de-corrode the male spade terminals and treat them.

    Its cheap, easy and takes little time. There is posts out here on the rail/injector removals for reference. Pulled the rails in an hour both sides, same going back in.
    .
    Good for another decade now. One more thing to not worry about. Consider doing it if not done.

    It was your thread that prompted me do it. Actually almost all my proactive service items (and its a long list) was a result of something you did or ran into or had a an issue with. So thanks!

    Some of those specs are meaningful deviations, not huge mind you, but it seems like a reasonable thing to attend to. I think that might be a side quest while I am doing my engine out.
