I'd lokk at it from the opposite side: which are the Patek to buy today? Choices wide.... 3940 3970 5270 5070 5110 ........... Always look from the best prospective
It’s not a negative. I don’t think anyone seeks a Tiffany dial but if it has one, then cool. But I don’t know they are sought out specifically for the dial.
I agree but I was suggesting watches that are a "bargain" to buy today and 5270 is much lower than 5970
I have a 5726-1A/010 (white dial)...I’m seeing asking prices online ranging ~$95-112K! Am I missing something? This can’t be real...
Time to sell! If you DM me I can give you the number of a large watch dealer that will show you a firm bid. No affiliation just a guy I like. Then you can see how real the prices are!
It seems like the 5110 is particularly good value at around $25k. photo credit theWatchBox.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think a minimum of 300k a year for a good period of time and to get to know the factory folks or US executives might eventually get you some rare pieces. But most importantly, only buy if you really like it, not to get on some list.

Gorgeous watch, simply gorgeous! I don't understand how Patek does it...simple yet organic and elegant. It is like the quote about Mozart in the movie Amadeus.... (paraphrase) "each note is perfect, there should be no more and no fewer." Sadly...I feel Ferrari used to have that approach...now there are many extra notes that I would take away, and other notes I would add.
