Nice garage car wash/detail equipment is a great idea and a legitimat business need with merit IMO... I looked forever and unfortunately never ran across Matt... So left to my own devices, the solution I have is no where near what you were able to pull off but it at least is functional.... maybe back to the drawing board after seeing your pics!

Mine is outside with drainage platform underneath and a equipment closet on one side and supply closet opposite side.. Wish I had your set up! congrats on being through construction with an amazing garage space..

In the process of expanding and remodeling my garage. I will be redoing the lighting. Is there a consensus on which yup of lighting is best for displaying multiple exotic cars? I am leaning towards LED cans at 4000K. They are clean and flush to the ceiling, so i like that idea, but am not opposed to 4ft bars or something like that. Thanks for the insight!

You should check out The Garage Journal. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=30 They have an entire section devoted to lighting. Very helpful and informative.

Why don’t people used heated water for washing, I have a portable Simpson unit that heats the water, I was going to go with the Kranzel, but never felt cold water did as good as hot water

I used recessed LED cans in the ceiling of my addition. They are perfect- super bright for detailing. I also look th clean look of flush lights. I rarely have them on full bright. Normally dimmed a bit. Depends on spacing and ceiling height. My ceilings are 14'

I also recommend doing whatever you can to get some natural light in.

I have (46) 2'x4' T8's in my 2,400 sq. ft. garage, plan on changing the bulbs over to 5k LED bulbs this winter. I think they do a better job of lighting versus the cans. I have a drop down ceiling, so they are flush.

Yours is my favorite garage on FChat. I really love what you picked for wood, lighting, decor, and cars.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

    Thanks so much! Greatly appreciated!

There are so many cool garages on this thread, it blows my mind. Many I think way nicer, but I tried to do something that worked for me and I could just hang out in.

Still much to do. Want to chop the slab on the daily driver side (original garage) to install a scissors lift that sits flush with the slab when lowered, epoxy the floors, and install a hot water heater...

Wish I was lucky enough to have yours, let alone his setup. Both of you have great design skills. Awesome
