Correct, same as my two sets I showed in post #31 for my Australian delivered 1989 GTS, except I didn't include my pouch key in the photo (I only got one, it was in the bottom of the actual pouch).
That's funny that you found that hey there. For those who don't have a pouch key, take a look in the pouch. You may get lucky too.
Ahhh, okay. The AE LORIOLI key fobs. No, I don’t have a set of them. I’ve never been able to get a conclusive answer on their origin. I even started a thread on the topic. At least here in the US, it seems they were dealer gifts with the new car and came in a tiny paper pouch. It is my understanding that there were many versions created over time with various interpretations of the reading horse (some time fatter, sometimes skinnier). I can’t say that I know for certain which version were given by dealers in the US with the 89 328. I’ve heard multiple opinions on the topic.
My key ring pictured there came with the car- in the owners handbook with the paper cover, so that was original with my Australian delivered 1989 car. Can't say what came as original with the US versions, fat or skinny.
I know definitively what I received with my two cars. I bought them new in May of 1989. Both US cars. One a February build the other a March car. I bought them from two different dealers. With both I received 3 folding ignition keys. 2 solid door keys. 1 funny little pocket key. All of the keys came on a plastic loop with a key number tab. Also each car came with a Cloisonné Key ring. This is the way they did it at that time. Other times, other markets may be different.
Also I was told that the folding key was to keep you from splitting your knee cap if you hit a concrete wall at 85MPH. The solid key is suppose to be more dangerous ???
Hello. I was just wondering what the “1 funny little pocket key” you received with your cars was for. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The small key you’re referring to is for the small lock on the leather pouch which is located on the back of the passenger seat.
The 355/348 key dos not fit the 328/308 the are cut on both sides and are a diff shape all together I sell them both and here are the pics. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi guys - owner with only 1 key set, where do I go for second ignition and door/petrol key please? Thanks in advance.
They are both readily available on eBay. Search “Ferrari 328 Blank Keys”. The original door keys are more challenging to find but they do surface.
