You didn't like my thread already IN this Section, for discussion?? That's ok..... For the record I have worked as a Guide since it opened. I'm the unofficial wise ass COTA Answer Man....there's thousands of people there that only know their VERY narrow job description. Sorry see its your first post.….welcome

Yes ticket sales have been amazing... FCA also sent out the Friday Reception Dinner info again last week, so maybe not Sold Out, has to be very close though. Tickets! I only have Friday in hand, so post up if you have a sleeper! Packing things now, up Thursday in the afternoon, look forward to seeing everyone!
What's up fellow Texans! Sorry I'm late to the discussion. I've been trying to finish up the honey-do list so I don't have any lingering tasks leading up to, on and immediately after the F1 Grand Prix. Wheew! BigTex, if you don't mind, could my girl and I tag along for one of your guided tours of COTA? We've been there before for some Ferrari events but we've pretty much just hung out in the building and garages but we'd like to see more of what our local track has to offer. I have a feeling you know alllll of the nooks and crannies! We have GA tickets for all 3 days, hopefully those tickets don't exclude us from too much of the F1 experience. This is our 1st F1 Grand Prix in person but I'm a huge fan. We may splurge and go to the Montreal - Canada Grand Prix next year since it's the same weekend as Ferrari Challenge but that plan is still in the 'maybe' column. If we do, we'll buy Rosetta Stone and learn some French, LOL! We'll be at the FCA Dinner this Friday as well. Mannn, I hope the weather cooperates. I just plugged in the irrigation manifold heater. It's supposed to dip to freezing tonight; yikes!
If y’all get lost, I’ll be wondering about the Grand Plaza wearing an “Ask Me” vest on Friday Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Big Tex, question for you. We have full paddock creds so we will there most of the time. However, we also have seats in turn 12. Several years ago we had the same set up and walked back and forth from the paddock to turn 12...using the infield bridges. It’s a hellva hike to do this several times each day. Is there are shorter walk (maybe around the outside) or should we take the shuttle? Thanks for any advice.
Well you know the walk up the hill and across the bridge to turn 12. To take the shuttle you’d need to go thru tunnel 1, and then over to the main grandstand shuttle pick up point. Less strenuous walk as it’s down hill(ish). Probably a bit shorter. If you take the shuttle, don’t forget to scan out or they won’t let ya back in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
My SINCERE apologies for this late reply!! Next year!! My guests from Louisiana were a challenge to keep up with, wrong seats, sell out crowd, hassles from Security. A normal F1 weekend! I will PM my phone number so we can stay in touch!! I did not even unpack my tablet the whole weekend! With the Dinner schedule, changing clothes, a dead battery in the Cadillac on Sunday morning.....It was the best of times, it was the worst of times! But we went early enough to only spend an hour getting in with traffic. Someone at Top Management levels let us all down there, as I have the Traffic Plan. We were missing Local Control on at least 12 intersections...!!!! They either forgot the check or intentionally dump us in the soup! Again, many unhappy customers..
